NEW Jailbreak Games!

Made lotta new games for jb that havent been seen/played, but stuck on the last couple.

I will make a thread containing all the games once they have been finished and after that im done with jb.

Please answer poll to help.

I'd rather like to have permission to decompile the map and add new stuff. New games are made up everyday - by everyone.

hey aj, if you knew anything about mapping you would know that decompiling a map destroys optimization. unless you get the vmf don't ever hope for an idea to get accepted lol. unless you want to server to have 10 fps the whole time

Voted for more admin. It gives a bit more variety to it. For example here's a game I just thought up: 4 terrorists left, both partner up, one in each "team" is blinded, they both have to get to a certain place, fastest wins lr or something. Not the best in the world, but you get the general idea.

If you knew anything about mapping you would know the jailbreak map isn't optimized at all, and if it had some minor optimizations added to it it would be easy to replicate.

 

 

And maps don't change the server's fps. You might be thinking about client's fps.

We have enough admins to play any type of game its just getting them to use their sense and follow the rules of these games that make it difficult. But the rules will be as simplified as possible.

I don't think games that require admin would be fair.

There are some admins that are immune to somethings (i.e. slap) so if a game goes on, the admin would pretty much just sit there while everyone else is doing the game.

I've decompiled it and recompiled it before with no issues what so ever.

 

No lag or optimization issues. You just got to know what method to use.

Perhaps, at some point, we could choose a few highly trusted jailbreak admins to give a few fun commands to, to try and create new games with. However, if we ever did take this path, the number of people given such powers would be very small, and only to those who have a consistent track record of responsibility.

Lamp, ive already suggested that the extra commands be given to a select few as I had many many games I wanted to try. But i dont think it was ever reviewed, the commands wouldnt need to be root, only a select few. And the way it is looking more people prefer these type of games.

Yeah, it would be cool. First only give it to one admin that plays regularly with a good track record, if he does ok with it, we can expand from there.

The jailbreak map is not very intense on the system to become evident in the first place. Try decompiling a tf2 map like goldrush or something. Even if you do not change ANYTHING it drops in fps.

It makes it impossible to rebel and that's what T's are supposed to do, not getting slapped around while being dizzy running around getting shot with no defense cause you're being slapped can't see cause you are dizzy.

 

It should be played as an opinionated day give an other option.

I voted no for admin games.

 

From my experience, admin games have caused more trouble than the fun it comes with. Admins abusing their powers, not forgetting to stop when they are supposed to, etc. Admin powers should be used to enforce the rules of a server, not to indulge in games with them. I understand that admin powers give much more variety to the regular last reaction first reaction, but its just too risky. Lets also remember that Admin is short for Administrator, they administrate the server for rule breakers, and apply necessary consequences.

 

I agree with Lamp's idea, and think it would work very well. Like he said, it would most likely be a very short amount of people, and those who do not abuse their powers and actually use them for what its for.

 

There are many games that people can play on JailBreak, its up to the creativity of the lead to play them.

This is a good question to ask people b.c i have people asking me to use my admin to play the games. The thing is i have kill myself if im on terriors to play most them. And when no admin r in server they cant be played at all. So i voted No for this polls less admin games make a better servers.
