Mouse-related comp issues

About 30 minutes ago my mouse on my familie's main computer froze, and it wouldn't move on screen.

Now...we have logitech mouse, keyboard, and speakers...and they are cordless, so I figured that maybe either the batteries died or the mouse lost connection with the connector. I check but the batteries were still alive and no matter how many times I tried to reconnect it the mouse wouldn't work.

Eventually I got impatient so I switched mouse, keyboard, speaker sets with the set that we originally got with the computer. Still, the mouse wouldn't work. We've tried restarting the computer, twice, and switching back and forth between mouses to try and get them to work. No matter what they wouldn't work.

tl;dr - my computer is fucked and the mouse is frozen in the middle of the screen no matter what mouse I use,

any ideas of how to fix this without spending money?

The mouse is stuck or the computer is frozen..does the keyboard work? Are both mice USB? Using same USB port when you switched em?

One of the mice is wireless and the other is usb.

The keyboard still worked and sound still worked but mouse wouldn't

But I raged at my comp this morning, searched everything inside out and apparently my computer disabled both mice on it's own (idk why)

I enabled them again but idk how long till it does it again

And if it does happen again I'mma hunt down Casper, socker punch him in the face and tell him to stop messin my comp while im playing video games :P

lmao jk

but really...what should i do if it does start happening often? I wanna spend as little money as possible

I mean...we have issues with the keyboards too..they stop working also from time to time but a restart fixes that.

I just wanna be able to stop it from happening again
