No! Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 First i like to make a statement! You can please some of the people some of the time. You can't please all the poeple all of the time. I'm shooting to please 86% of the people, 75% of the time. With this said Idea's had when playing jailbreak for the past four days. 1. Only T's can heal them self when lr's are in progess. Had someone kill a T for going in infirm on a lr. The killer said it was delaying his lr and he was killed over this. Told him what he did was wrong , and he came back with it's not in the rules to not kill him for it. Pass it in the forums. So here I am. 2. Only T's can play music on lr's and not ct's that give no order all round and still make it to lr. Some don't even have mic's I've seen many times when T are on lr they can't even play the hldj when there lring b.c of a admin/other ct is spamming music. It is hard sometimes now a days to get to lr. Therefore the t's that do make it to lr should be able to play music when doing a lr. And not have to listen to some ct spam music that doesn't even have a mic or give a order all day. I know of atleast four people that does this kind of stuff. If this thread is hot i well put of some poll's on how people feel about the rules I'm trying to effect. If you see this thread message it and tell your fellow jailbreakers about it. I don't have much of an opinion for this, personally i think hlss/hldj is overused and annoying. Isn't it what we had the !music command for? HLDJ just causes people to buffer overflow or lag out of the server. Plus the fact that it is not very funny anymore. I guess music could be an exception for a custom LR or "isenguard." HLDJ should be at the discretion of admins since its not allowed anyways. If an admin mutes a T on lr thats is playing hldj another admin would be in the wrong to unmute him. Ya i was talking about when the lr is in progress crosshair not after. Sorry i need to make my self more clear on that. For the people that post out about how a T heals when a lr is in progress. HLDJ is STILL not allowed per the MOTD, so feel free as an admin to mute anyone playing music even during LR or warday, and if an admin argues with you (there's always someone who does), tell them to take it to Staff. Skjold Posted January 19, 2011 Share Posted January 19, 2011 I think it's fine if one of the last two Terrorists use HLDJ, depending if the other Terrorist agree's with it. Or just in that case the last Terrorist. I myself don't mind the music at all, I used to just press esc and go to player list and mute the person using the music until the round is over, if I didn't like the song that is. But now as an admin I don't mute the person just for myself, I look at the respondes of the players, if people don't like it I mute the person spamming the music. Though if almost everyone is dead and I'm still alive its hard to determine if people actually enjoy the music. Unless they use the admin chat, which some people do and I appreciate it. But one thing I really dislike is the shield in admin room, because first of all the ones who uses it keeps running up to people doing lr or just random ct's and that does so you cant move, leaving you an easy target for the Terrorists. With that script there was never any music unless some child put their mic next to their ipod. (Although this was gmod so it was coded in lua :cry:).
