However, at any point where it gives you advantage, it's cheating. So, if you're lining people up through walls and you say its because of "skin texturing", sounds like a material hack to me. It is an intentional modification (which results in an unnecessary advantage over others in gameplay), which is against our rules and it is also cheating. You cheated period, stay banned.
