Papa John
So in addition to going to see the Adjustment Bureau, which was a great movie despite the lucrative concept, and thought afterword I would see the movie that had for the past month received a presidential advertisement campaign. After seeing it I have to say that I was not impressed, even more so I almost feel cheated. The movie was pretty much Independence Day, just instead of having Will Smith they had that one guy who I can't remember his name and am far to lazy to look it up. It even had the same dam ending, big mothership that must be destroyed to get rid of the overpowering air power, and then they even use the bs "we can now radio to the other forces how to take these things down" line. Which still doesn't make any sense because it required them first to by chance find the dam thing (Unlike in Independence Day where it hovered in broad daylight) and for that matter get behind enemy lines unnoticed. Which you figure they are not likely to make the same mistake twice. However even more so then the obvious rip, the fact that the sheer over the top violence was just nauseating. I understand movie your trying to convey that they are being ambushed however if the camera switch 13 different viewpoints and 25 different angles it becomes more of looking through a kaleidescope then a real fire fight. Finally the real kicker came when they tried to humanize the aliens, to which they never ended up fully explaining or for that matter finishing the tangent. To which we are then left with the final scene of them going back into Los Angeles...So what exactly happened movie? You setting up for a sequel of them mopping up the rest? Did they retake Los Angeles? Is the next movie going to be "Cleanup: Los Angeles", the grand adventures of fixing a city quite literally blown to pieces? Anyways /rant. For those who saw the movie what was your opinion?
Jesus2
I've heard some people say its good and others say its too cliche. As stupid as it sounds I'll probably end up going to watch it regardless lol

Bearthug
People are to picky, the movie was good EXACTLY. But I do respect other people's opinions. In my opinion? Im not a critic. Im not a person that truly understands the actual depth of each and every movie, in the industry. If I like it, I like it lol. I just saw Battle Los Angeles last night. 2 hour movie. Papa John does have a point about how the movie is in some ways similar to other movies such as Independence Day, Black hawk down, and skyline. The movie had a few flaws that were obvious, acting could of been better excluding Aaron Eckhart. He was a great actor. In every movie he was in lol. The story line? John is right. Not original. Also it seemed like the movie was...... Recruiting?? LOL But I liked the movie overall. I give it a 8/10. Action is fantastic. Everybody has their own point of views about the movie. I heard from some, that it was terrible, and some that it was great. Your choice to watch it or not. Edit: Had to put a smiley in there lol.
