Making a Demo

- To make/stop recording a demo type this in console:

To record: [b]record [demoname][/b]

To stop: [b]stop[/b]

The demo's name should not include the brackets.

 

 

Viewing a Demo

- To view a demo, type this in console:

To view: [b]playdemo [demoname][/b]

To show an overlay: [b]Shift + F2[/b]

Again, the demo's name should not include the brackets. A list of available demos are displayed and the demo file can be found in the cstrike folder, which is found here:

you can also use demoui and load the demo... there's a bit more control using demoui (although it's annoying cuz there's a pop-up in the way).

 

type demoui in console and it'll pop up

load up the demo and you can control speed, specify specific tics etc... -.-

there's also a proper place to store them. should be steam>steamapps>your steam name> cs:s> cstrike. now this is for cs:s only, but should be very similar for other games.

you may have to put

record {demo name}.dem

 

This is what i have to do to all mine but it may just be a setting :L
