To view the bill, go to this website. (For a more concise, and somewhat more readable form of this bill, click the very bottom link.)

The bill basically says that it will make uploading/streaming copyrighted content on the internet as a felony. So, video game videos and random people making covers of songs are illegal. So big companies, like Machinima, will have to be taken down. Singers that started on YouTube, such as Justin Bieber (first to come to mind, sorry), won't get "popular" and make a living.

If you want your word to be heard, you can go to this website to send a letter. It also goes over the bill in a concise manner.

imo this bill is total bullshit. Like I am not a fan of Justin Bieber, but the internet is suppose to be open. With this bill it puts caps on what we can actually do on here. I can see the points that they are trying to reach with this bill, but its effects people's lives more than you think.

There are tons of bills like this. It doesn't take a whole lot to get them introduced, and then people start freaking out like it's going to be law now. There is so much a bill has to go through, I seriously doubt this one will pass.

will never pass !

There's ALREADY a law against performing/using copyrighted material without consent lol... This is just a redefinition of its penalties. Bills get proposed all the time... And any good lawyer would be able to fight a charge like this off in court.

Yeah but "any good lawyer" costs a shit ton of money.

They can try to pass it all they want, this bill will fail when it goes into the house of rep. Also, "Machinima" is protected under the "Expost Facto Clause" so they won't be able to touch them.

Only applies to breaking a law before it was made. If they continue to post videos, they'd be open to suits.

To me, as long as you don't claim the game is your creation, acknowledge the developer, and don't make a profit on it unless the original developer says so it is okay, then it shouldn't be illegal to post videos of you playing a game or making a machimia.

Thats what we agree before we buy a game every single time

This is about streaming movies. Congress doesn't give a fuck about the gaming videos uploaded. Currently there is a law stating that no movie can be illegally downloaded without publisher permission. Streaming is technically not downloading a movie therefore if you watch it you cannot be penalized. Congress does have better things to be doing though.
