Wabbit
Ok, so i been with Verizon 13 years, and now i have an upgrade to get any phone for $150, includes, iphones and androids, thunderbolt etc..... im not a person that blows $600 on a new phone, so now i can get my Droid =] so i went yesterday and i found out that their UNLIMITED DATA PLAN is only a 2gb lol and 4gb is $50 extra. I went to Sprint and i an get a HTC TROPHY AND A HTC 4G EVO AND A HTC 3D 4G for $100 and their unlimited data plan is actually UNLIMITED, so im on the fence, should i got with Sprint? NOTE, im planing to gte a psp vita when release, so i will b using my Phone device as a Hotspot 3g 4g to play with my psp vita when im on the road, so i will b using allot of internet time. fox*
verizon 90$ sprint 80$/month sprint (even though their customer service is shit)
Wabbit
verizon 90$ sprint 80$/month sprint (even though their customer service is shit) well the point here was the unlimited Data plan. I know I'm gonna need more than 4 gb, and Verizon offers 1 gb more for every $10 lol, i will need probably 7gb per month, that's $70 extra. Sprint is $30 for unlimited. I dont know that much of the new Android devices either, but does Sprint have better phones? or Verizon does? also, is Sprint service bad? like AT&T? Linoleum Knive
I have had neither. I am pre-planning my jumpship from T-Mobile once the FCC approves the merger of ATT/T-mobile. I have dropped Verizon from my list, even though I have no plans to get a data plan. If I ever want it, I'll go to Spring. But Sprint has slipped hidden charges into my friend's bills who spent hours on the phone arguing over it. The way I see it: Six one, Half Dozen another. Linoleum Knive
................................................................DOES T MOBILE HAS UNLIMITED DATA PLAN? They might. It wont matter because ATT is trying to swallow T-Mobile whole. I refuse to become an ATT customer, and I dont have a phone that uses data anyway. Bob the Android Penguin
Sprint has improved immensely with customer service (They still have ways to go though). As far as unlimited data plans go, they might be your best option.

beast702
Im still sticking with verizon since their 4g is just beasting and I only use about 1 gig every month so im not worried
Executive Council Kigen Posted July 10, 2011 Executive Council Share Posted July 10, 2011 I use Sprint and it works out pretty good. 4G speeds can vary because a lot of data heavy people have been moving to Sprint. As far as I know Sprint is the only cell phone carrier to actually offer true 4G. (Verizon and AT&T's implementation is a upgraded 3G. Mainly because its cheaper for them.) I have the EVO 3D. (Mainly because I wanted the extra power. Duel core processor FTW!)

Wabbit
Im still sticking with verizon since their 4g is just beasting and I only use about 1 gig every month so im not worried well 1 gig is about 5 hours of Internet Usage, 50 website visits , 2 gigs is 10 hours of Internet usage,.... I was gonna use my Android as a Hotspot WiFi, so when im on the road i can play with my psp vita online etc,,, so i will b using probably 40 hours of Internet a month. FDR
My dad used to have Sprint, but his phone had 1 bar where I live and drops calls. Verizon, on the other hand, isn't cheap, but it works really well where I live.
GreyLlama
Sounds like Sprint is better. Even though im more keen on Ipod and iOS. Check if Sprints service is good in your area, also HTC Evo has been here for a while and I heard good things from it.

r3dm0nd
if you already have an unlimited data from vzw stay with them and you'll be fine, i know t mobile advertises as unlimited but they will throttle your data after 2 gigs, i personally hate att and sprint i've never really heard good things about choice is really up to you but id say stick with vzw
Bob the Android Penguin
Virgin Mobile and Boost have limited android phones available. Although Virgin is set to launch a new android phone soon (along with an increase in price for the $25 plan to $35). They are alright phones, but if you want a powerhouse android phone (Like the one Kigen has) then Sprint is your best bet.
beast702
the evo 4g and the evo 3d 4g, which one is more powerfull, Processor and memory. HTC Evo 4g 3D has a better processor and memory and probably their best phone right now
Executive Council Kigen Posted July 12, 2011 Executive Council Share Posted July 12, 2011 The HTC EVO 3D is Sprint's best phone at the moment in terms of processor and memory. I see the 3D feature as more of a novelty. I bought the phone because I was going from a LG Rumor 2 to a true smart phone. I wanted the duel core processor and I didn't care about rooting the phone. Be aware that Sprint charges a extra $30/mo for hotspot ability. However, there is of course rooting the phone to override that. But the HTC EVO 3D hasn't been fully rooted yet. So if your not that big on processor (and don't care for the 3D) you might look towards the HTC EVO 4G as it has been fully rooted. (Look online at rooting sites before doing any software updates on the phone if you do get it. As the updates might patch the holes used to root the phone.) p.s., When I refer to rooting I'm talking about full control over the phone. When you get the phone stock from Sprint you are a limited user in the eyes of the Android OS (which is Linux based). Power users like to root the phone so they can do things like hotspot without paying the extra $30/mo. However, be careful. Rooting the phone is probably against the contract for all carriers including Sprint.
blackberry4511
Im on Verizon, mostly because calls are not dropped as often as sprint does in my area. I have heard good things about sprint though, they do have a VERY AMAZING 4G, There phones are good and there prices are not that bad. Also they have a lot of droid phones available.(If thats what your into). I have a blackberry bold 9650.(for verizon of course) It is a very good phone as far as i am concerned. The only down side is that Blackberry's are anything but user friendly. So, depending on your area and what your actually wanting i would go with a droid on either networks. or (cant believe i am saying this) an iphone on verizon. r3dm0nd
to the poster who said sprint is the only carrier with real 4g you are mistaken, wimax is not an official 4g standard, neither is LTE, LTE is faster than wimax and more widely accepted as well as closer to the true 4g which will be LTE-Advanced. Carriers brand all these, LTE, WiMax, and HSPA+ as 4G as they are faster than 3G speeds and will appeal more to the consumer.
