Kurosaki Ichigo
As some of you know, I said that I was going to leave HG because of computer issues, but some of my close HG friends were going crazy about me leaving so I decided to stay and deal with what I have for now until I got my own money to buy a new computer and other stuff. But, after having a long serious talk with my grandparents, they agreed to pay for parts for my new computer and invest in a new router and modem. You may be wondering "why is it that hard to convince your grandparents to get you new computer equipment" Reason being is because they think that what I have now is fine, even though I have told them many many times that what I have now is not good at all. I'm not saying that I don't appreciate what they've done for me, but for once, I would like to have NO computer issues whatsoever. Sadly, there are alot of stuff I have to do in order for me to get my new computer equipment. They also added that if I did a really good job on helping around with household chores and other such things, that they will get my new computer equipment early. I am very excited because this means I can play TF2, GMOD and BF, to spread the word about the best clan I have ever been. I will keep you guys updated as to when I am going to finally be getting my new computer equipment. Cant wait! BluHorse
when i saw this thread title i immediately thought of this man: if you want advice about your new computer and its parts, its generally thought to post a budget that you have otherwise people won't know if you can get the latest and greatest or the cheap part thats some steps below the best one. Lol at your pic. OT: But yeah I understand that, but I just want some advice on what I should get to have a successful computer and what kind of modem/router I should get, otherwise, I'm going to be so confused that I will probably buy the wrong thing and then it will be worse then what I have now. Bob the Android Penguin
I have an old netgear router that works fine. I could ship it to you. I got paid recently so it would be no problem. I could include the setup utility on a cd if I can find it on the the support website. Router is Netgear WGT624 v2
Kurosaki Ichigo
looking for a router eh? what are your budgets? and you looking for a modem and a router or just a router? At this point, it doesn't really matter. I just want to see my options and then I will look at my budget and decide the best choice. I have an old netgear router that works fine. DR.OBVIOUS
Happy to hear it Also...what I don't get is why you are able to play CSS but not TF2, as TF2 is less intensive on your system. On the router situation? Just find a sleek looking router with a big "N" on it...that should work fine for a couple computer.

Kurosaki Ichigo
I like what I see so far. From what Ive heard, alienware is just a brandname and not even that good. And I already have a linksys router anyways. I dont want to waste money on a computer that doesnt deliver the quality that it says it has. And I have never heard of a Turtle Beach headset... that sounds kinda corny... anyways, keep these suggestions coming !
