Not getting over it has already cost hundreds of thousands of lives and that number will only continue to grow. Not getting over it destroyed Iraq. Not getting over it is taking our freedoms away. Not one single positive thing has come out not getting over it. Ok fine if you want people to get over it the go tell them. If you feel so strongly towards getting over it I'm NOT stopping you but then why don't you go through half the shit anyone involved in the tragedy and then say you want to forget or get over losing a father, son, mother, daughter, or any family member. My point is that Getting over or Moving on or Forgetting or whatever the holy fuck you want to call it isn't something you can just say and it will be done. Its a process and unless you know how it feels you shouldn't be telling people how to deal with the losses.

Dullknife
May Those be forgiven for there sins and those that lost a loved one may they have peace in their mind for they are in a better place. Oh this goes both ways Don't Think Americans are the only ones I am talking to. Countless lifes die in fact 3 people die every 1 sec. and 1 person is born. Next time you want to bitch about stupid shit over threads on this day may you think before posting. Fighting is never the answer and trolling is never the time. ^ this guy lost someone that day and days later. So stop bitching your brothers and No matter how many wars we have here nothing will be solved due to greed and power. IMO - Sry but this day is not my favorite to remember ... I will leave you to fight now.

Everybody is going to die because it's an inevitable consequence of being alive. How people deal with their losses is usually their own business, but when their reaction to loss starts effecting other people, it becomes everyone's business. You may not like/agree with never forgetting or whatever but some do, and some will be trying so fucking hard to forget they just cant. IMHO, if you dont have a decent contribution to the thread that everyone (in this situ) will like, then dont post:) cheers:)

Im not fucking stupid no shit people die everyday but what you still probably do not grasp is that THOUSANDS once again THOUSANDS of people were killed that is at least 5x as much people directly affected. And also your saying that people help others grieve is "Their reaction to loss affects others." For fuck sake do you not understand the tragedy that happened that day OUR ENTIRE COUNTRY was affected it was a ACT OF TERRORISM that was committed intentionally to hurt and kill Americans and to affect our country. Of course it will affect others it effected not only America but even other countries tried to understand. And you saying that other people's grieving is affecting others is basically smacking all the people that were at Ground Zero and anyone on the island of Manhattan and saying "Fuck you move on" Just think. Only think. Grow up from the age of 3,4,5,6, and other ages without a father or mother, a uncle or an aunt, a brother or a sister. Then tell me you wont look to others for help in "Moving on" or whatever you fucking call it...

America killed 225,000 innocent people bombing Japan. Nearly 1 million(as of August 2010) have died as a result of our unprovoked invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Both of these numbers are very conservative. Put that in perspective with the couple thousand who unfortunately lost their lives due to the 9/11 attacks. It's a mere trifle in comparison to the evils our own country has committed. It's one thing to remember it, but it's another thing to let the memory of it burn in your heart and continue to fuel unjust wars. Continue to fuel racism and prejudice. Continue to fuel the military taking advantage of the young, poor, uneducated, and minorities. It hasn't been used as anything other than a rallying cry since the onset.
