Angel Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 (edited) Back when I first joined the Jailbreak server I lagged a lot (way more than I normally do lol), especially when lots of people talked on their mics all at once. Then I changed my rates (can't remember what from) to 7500, then a few weeks ago to 10000. Got rid of all dat lag. I just got one of my irl playing Jailbreak now and he had the same problem as I used to, and what you're experiencing now. I told him to change his rates to 10000 and he can play perfectly now To change your rates, when in-game open your console by pressing the ` (or ~) key then type "rate 10000" without the quotes. If your console doesn't come up go into your CS:S Options and in the Keyboard tab click on the Advanced button, then simply tick the corresponding box to enable your console. Do this and then comment back here whether it helped or not; that's what fixed it for me and my friend. I can play all I want during primetime just by setting my rates to 10000, therefor getting no lag. Read my above post, change your rates, play during primetime and then comment back here whether changing your rates helped get rid of the lag.
