Topless
Those cops are pussies if they had to use pepper spray against people like that. I'm glad those cops got put on leave because that is a complete dick move, asshole cops. >.<

People that are non-compliant after an officer has given them an order to move so they aren't blocking the sidewalk to traffic? Everyone that screams, "oh man those cops are such assholes for doing xxxxx." Guess what, the "victim" always has the option to avoid it. You say asshole cops, I say asshole protestors. Don't block the damn sidewalk. The only thing about this story that appalls me is the spineless president of this university. Move along, nothing to see here. If you haven't heard there's a NATIONWIDE protest against the increasing gap between the wealthy and the common people and the dilution of our government with corporate self intrest. The global economy is in a deadlock and this "Super Council" is just sitting there blaming each other instead of fixing the fucking problem. Our country is a Capitalist country and I personally respect every persons right to pursue a profit under the regulations set by the government, but when you get international corporations who have to abide by little to NO regulations they eventually acquire enough wealth to pocket governments. And when you get regular people who finally want to fight back without getting sent to the chopping block, the only way to do that is with civil disobedience. Since the movement started almost all the protests have started peacefully with cops using excessive force for no reason (cop shooting a veteran in the face with a tear gas canister and then hitting him with a flashbang when hes ALREADY UNCONSCIOUS), I spoke to a student at this campus and the pepperspraying was the first thing the cops did, these students were peacefully protesting in the PUBLIC part outside campus (you know, where you see douchebags playing guitar to women in movies and on tv). Give me a fucking break Weeman. 95% of these protesters are self-entitled, irresponsible asshats and probably don't even know the reason they are protesting. They are a nuisance. Pepper spray was not the first thing they did. They told them to move, then they tried to move them (albeit not very hard). Protest on the grass all you want, but do not block a sidewalk or street. A-fucking-Men. Had they been trying to beat up the cops, then pepper spray would have been necessary. Spraying sitting people amounts to beating the shit out of a quadriplegic because he fell off of his powered scooter in the middle of the sidewalk in front of city hall. Fuck it, those cops shouldn't have been blocking the sidewalk either. This is the problem in America currently. The police have gone from civil servants to full on militarized government controlled militias (yes I know a police force is a militia that is government controlled). The police used to be a part of their communities. Now they are a friction enforcing the laws as they see fit. Mind you, there are police officers that are legitimately good police officers that understand that being a dick head is not the way to portray yourself. As a whole, the police have become the good ole' boy network.
