Zoom_Zoom
This is a really annoying problem that occurs in CSS for me. I have tried lots of fixes like deleting clientregistry.blob, integrify game cache (or whatever the hell it is), and some console commands. Help? mccaincracker
Does it happen whenever you try joining a server or after something happens? For me this happens when i time out and try joining back.. usually waiting a few mins fixes it but that's just me

I might do that, I haven't had to do that for a while but lets see if that does anything.
enigma#
This honestly sounds like a networking/routing issue. Umm try this 1. Close out of Steam completely (or reboot whichever is faster) 2. Navigate to your Steam folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Steam\) 3. Find the 'SteamApps' folder and MOVE IT out onto either your desktop or a place where you can easily access it (this may take time depending on how many files you have or how many games) 4. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs (if earlier than Vista), Programs and Features (if Vista or Later) In the new window that pops up, select Steam and uninstall it (usually there is an option to remove it). 5. Download a fresh install of Steam from http://www.steampowered.com 6. Install Steam again. I would strongly suggest changing the default installation location (e.g. from C:\Program Files\Steam to C:\Steam as an example). 7. Execute Steam and login. LOG OUT after it loads 8. Find the folder 'SteamApps' and copy back it into where you installed Steam 9. Verify the cache of the game you're having issues with and launch the game. This should theoretically flush out any Steam client settings. ------------ Although most routers are PnP/NAT-aware, some may not. Check your router to see if you are able to forward any ports. As well, firewall and antiviral clients love to mess around with functionality if it is not trusted. Try whitelisting your game files directory (if possible) in your firewall if it is active
Zoom_Zoom
I'm stilll copying files, hopefully I won't have to reinstall everything, or reinstall the games I actually play

Zoom_Zoom
Wow. I did everything and still got the error. I did the verify cache thing, and it got fixed. Oh well. Thanks! lol
