And also maybe make it somewhat of a Serious RP server Ive only played for 2 days so far but every time I get on it is normally very laggy and people always end up fail driving and cdming on accident. Normally the server is filled with a 10 minute wait time until someone leave also. Maybe open up the 2nd second with only 25-30 slots, to keep the lag down from so many people/cars/fire/cluster-fucks and also make it to where people should actually RP instead of just pulling a gun out and rdming. Comp Specs so people dont think I have a shitty comp Quad Core 8 GB RAM Nvidia GeForce GT 520 & Nvidia GeFore 9600 GT ~ normally run at 100FPS with everything on high Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Too many entities moving about when they don't need to exist. A single car is like 5-9 entities alone. I'm working on reducing this number. Weed pots used to be two entities. -5.9-Cummins Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 If I'm understanding this correctly, even if they were to say, take the server from 50 slots, and make TWO 25 slot servers, there would still be lag due to the amount of entities that are spawned. For example, say each car is 7 entites ( the middle of 5-9), and say there's 25 people on, each of those 25 people has a car spawned. 25 x 7 = 175 entities + all the props they have spawned for their bases, or the pots they're using to grow weed. My point in a shorter format: Even if they cut down on the player slots, the number of entities would still be higher than what It should be, so if they fix the models (Cars, Props, etc. ) To were they only use 1 - 2 entities each, it would cut down on lag all together and allow them to keep one server. Edit: Fixed. The fix will be live when the server restarts next. A update was just pushed that should help with server performance. Cars are now down to about 3 entities without passengers.
