Flare Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Nothing annoys me more than when I'm playing CT on jailbreak (and often leading) and then some random without a mic claims lead just to call a warday for the next few rounds. Sometimes they claim it without knowing and dont know how to !pass it and the whole round goes to shit. Would it be possible to make microphones compulsory for CT's? For a 14 year old player who wants to try CT for a while, not having a mic shouldn't impede him from doing so. No, mic-less CTs should not be taking lead, but if that causes trouble, there are admins to solve it. Warn, Kick, Ban. Bonbon Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Well, here's where I come from: You should NOT be calling lead if you do not have a mic You should NOT be calling lead just to call a warday IF THERE IS OTHER PEOPLE WILLING TO LEAD You shouldn't need a mic to be CT, but again, you should NEVER CLAIM LEAD WITHOUT ONE The problem with !fire is that once someone calls a warday, you can't really fire them. I have seen on countless occasions (usually the same person actually) someone call lead at peak time when there are like 5 other people trying to claim lead, just to call a warday. And it ruins it for everyone. There's not really a way to automatically stop this, so just follow warn -> kick -> ban if it gets out of control. What i was thinking really, I don't see anything wrong with it so long as they aren't doing it every other round. He's not asking if you need sound to play Jailbreak (which you don't), he's asking if killing a T who "claims" they couldn't hear the orders because they don't have sound is a freekill or not. And no, it's not a freekill, text orders are forbidden (except for trivia questions, etc), and we can't take someone's word about having no sound, because it's impossible to tell. A game revolved around following explicit orders to the key or supporting the person giving those orders by administering punishment? And you don't need sound? Yes you do...
