If you were like me, and are having problems of your game crashing when downloading files from the server (models,materials,ect.) then the following should help you.

__CLIENTS__

1) Open the properties in your gmod shortcut and add “-verify_allâ€Â to the end. Example: (-applaunch 4000 -verify_all)

2) Delete your cache folder in garrysmod/garrysmod

3) Go into garrysmod/garrysmod and create a file named “steam.infâ€Â. Inside that file, put this code:

PatchVersion=1.0.1.0

ProductName=garrysmod

appID=4000

4) Restart GMod and remove “-verify_allâ€Â from your shortcut properties.

__SERVERS__

1) Go to your command line and add “-verify_allâ€Â. For Xenon server users, you can do this by turning on +exec and putting (“â€Â -verify_all) without the parentheses.

2) Delete your cache folder in your garrysmod directory

3) Create the a file named “steam.infâ€Â in your garrysmod directory, and inside, put this code:

PatchVersion=1.0.1.0

ProductName=garrysmod

appID=4000

4) Restart GMod and remove “-verify_allâ€Â from your server’s command line."
