In fact, a lot of training ares happen to all share the same desire to have a lot of buildings around one central area. I was surprised that when they renovated all of the starship barracks on BCT posts, they didn't look like a ton of nested swastikas. It's a bunch of right-angled barracks nested around and above a parade area, with a DFAC in the center of a set.
