Coloured text?

The second last line says coloured username and chat messages, but for me I think it's normal:

A normal message shows up like: [admin] *SPEC* -hg- DevLuke : Test

An @message shows up like: (ALL) -hg- DevLuke: Test

The @message is similar I think to the adverts for premium, and possibly the gameme points notifications.

But neither of these make a difference in message colour.

Also, what happened that caused the other admin chat commands to be disabled? (hsay and csay I think). When I ran a GMod server, these were the most useful commands at an admin's disposal

Thanks for reading.

It doesn't sound like you used the command to change colour of your username.

As to what the 'coloured' chat messages mean, it could be interpreted different ways (from @say).

Finally, we disabled some of the global chat commands because people liked spamming with it. You can thank the admin chat abusers in the past for causing this.

:( can you bring it back again and take away certain powers from certain players that abuse it?

msay, csay, tsay, hsay, these are all commands you don't really need and are for extreme cases only, in which 99% of people have proven they are not mature enough to use.

And thigns change in this clan, including the way messages used to be displayed. A long time ago, admin chat messages looked like this (for example if you were a t)

[admin] your name here: your text here

or something along those lines. But, now we've changed the prefix to

[admin] your name here: your text here

I will try to find the command that allows me to change the colour of my name

Do you have the privileges for the colored name? Try typing this in console: sm_coloredname "Whatever you want in here"

Remember to use the ^1, ^2, ^3, and ^4 commands if you don't know properly how I'll be in TS3 to help.

I'm a paying admin, so as far as I know I should?

EDIT: Just ran some tests, it only seems to work on the Jailbreak server I tested it on (though I tested the listing command (sm_colorednames) as I'm not admin there). When I tried on a dust2 server, and the Crackhouse servers, it didn't recognise the command. Any way we could get this implemented to the Crackhouse DM servers?

Cheers,
