Paradhyze
Hey everyone, Paradhyze here(ingame Paradhyze Duhn) bringing you this thread about basing, what you must know and how to successfully make a base and protect it from being raided. These are the instruction advices and suggestions for you(starters) and as you start basing you will definitely improve. WHAT YOU MUST KNOW: -> When making a base the most important thing is to feel safe inside your base and make it as hard as possible for someone from outside to get in, this means putting as many obstacles in the way as possible(cones, open locked doors) soon as it is not considered "prop blocking" everything is possible to help make your base more safer for you and your organization(if you are basing with one). -> Only 1 entrance, this means that most doors or places where you can base have more than one entrance to it, you are able to block more than 1 entrance with props as soon as there is always at least 1 entrance to the place. There are several ways to block a door, most of the times you should use a wooden fence(to prevent raiders from seeing through it) or you can use normal fences if you are not worried about them seeing you(meaning you are ready to shoot anyone you see behind it). -> You should also organize your base as much as possible, meaning not having props just standing in the middle of the ground, this may not seem a very big problem at first but you will feel like it is later when you start trying to run from someone at the window shooting at you and you get stuck in a random cone D: -> Make barriers, this means getting packs of concrete barriers and stacking them with leaving only about a 10 cm space between them so you can see where you're aiming at and shots are less likely to hit you and kill you. GROWING: -> Alright, lets face it, if you base, you're obviously wanting to grow some coca/weed/meth, doesn't matter, you will always need a spot for it and you will need it to be as hidden as possibly and also as hard to get as possible, so that if you get raided its not that easy for the raiders to get to it before they get to you. So all you gotta do is: > If it has windows, cover them with ONLY wooden fences. > If its a big room and you are amongst friends, separate it with fences/barriers and know your spot, so that it doesn't all get mixed up and you start harvesting each others stuff. ASSUME POSITIONS/SET AN ALARM: -> As a personal baser(with my organization or alone) I always like to be organized in what i do, this also means setting my spots and my friends and imagine that if in case of raid, what should I do and what everyone else should, so when you get raided everyone inside starts shooting each other thinking they are shooting the raiders. So setting positions is very important, as simple as: example of Apts + Penthouse, keeping 1 person at 102 looking for raiders before they get to the main base(penthouse), another person on the door of penthouse with a barrier stacked in front of them, and a last person or whats left of the member in that base on the roof updating the amount of people entering and leaving the building and what kind of identities they are (cops, citizens, swat, etc..). -> Setting an house alarm, personally i love to place an alarm in every base, not because of the cop factor(usually when the alarm sets off you are to expect more than 5 cops in your door in around 2-3 minutes raiding you even worse than the raiders), but because it lets you know when you are getting lockpicked(note that there is always the chance of you getting lockpicked at the very first time, if this happens you will not hear the alarm because it will not go off). END I hope you enjoyed this little guide for successfully basing alone or with friends, i will be posting some screenshots later of the setups i like to make in different places around the map, cya! Paradhyze
Post space reserved for screenshot posting, thank you! Tides 5# solo basing setup: & NOTE: Instead of only 1 cone you can actually place 2 in the same line of the room to prevent them for running in the sides and avoid having to jump to walk across the room. You can also set a light and point it at the door so as soon as they open it they get a bright light in their face and its harder to kill you.
