WhataWackaMonk
Hey, I am seriously thinking about getting counter strike, and I need to know which one i should get.......The main perpose would be for Hellsgamers which would mean the best idea would probably be to get Source....But I am aware that Global offensive is realising Beta keys..... In the long run, which game would i be better off gettin? I am also unsure whether of not you need Source to play GO? Or was that just a misunderstanding? Whichever game, i will buy it with TF2 items.....GO being alot cheaper at 3 keys, Source being 5-8. If you would like to help me out I would pay: For source: Clean Deus specs (2 keys), the new scout set (no fedora, 1key), Pocket medic (1 key), rec + vintage (rec) + 2 ref in stranges/random weapons (1 key) = 5 keys For GO: Deus Specs (2 keys) + New scout set (1 key) Depending on the answer to the thread, if u are interested in my prices...add me on steam
MineCrack
Source is the way to go. Endless hours of fun in many custom game modes.
ExGBrian
Source. The original price right now for source is more expensive then what go will be when it comes out. You would never truly have the real effect/potential of cs with go
iDigitaL-
Source > GO
mccaincracker
Just buy it with real moneyz, source should be on sale sometime with steam summer sales
Poohunter
Source if you want the full experience with mods and other stuff. GO if you just want to play competitively and nothing else. IMO source.
WhataWackaMonk
Thanks all for the feedback......looks like Source it is. So what is GO then? I thought it was its own game but i think i must be mustaken.... I am trying to avoid using real money cause.....you know, not the right time...... Now I just need to find a seller....If you would like to help me....or if you know someone who happens to spend a bit of money on TF2 keys (Might as well help a fellow HG out and earn 4-5 keys with $10, than buy 4 straight keys), just post here..... GO is the new game coming out from valve soon. It's like call of duty but with cs rules. It's currently in beta and not much people are playing right now. DarkMonotone
I'd say GO but considering how HG will probably still play Source you should probably get that, but to be honest GO is Source with better graphics.
Zekk
If by better you mean intentionally fuzzy. Then your right....
genku
I'm not really a fan of either since I'm 1.6 based, but, I'd go with Source. I've played CS:GO a bit and it's still on HL2 engine - it's basically CS:Source but has custom sounds, skins, hud, etc. I view it as the Condition Zero of Source. DeathShot
I don't think I'll even be getting GO, it'll take awhile for custom games to be made and personally, it seems like they're taking another step closer to the cod-type of games. Personally I'll be playing on CS:S for a very long time.
