Mr. Zombie
Just saw the midnight release with a few friends. Gotta say, they've outdone themselves. Great surprise ending, as well. Though you should go in there expecting more plot than action. Also, Bane's raspy voice + Batman's raspy voice = I NEED SUBTITLES GODDAMNIT. Any other midnight watchers (or tomorrow watchers) who wanna chip in their two cents about it?
Awwik
If anyone spoils this movie for me with out tags on the thread i will kick the shit out of you!
Princess Celestia
I understood Bane and Batman just fine and my right ear has been goofy all day! Enjoyed the movie and actually believed for a few brief moments that Commissioner Gordon was gonna die a few times over the course of the film! 10/10 would watch again. Cal45
Well, the movie started out with a bang here in Colorado, that's for sure. http://denver.cbslocal.com/2012/07/20/aurora-colorado-mall-shooting-town-center-century-16/

Cal45
I have a feeling a lot of people are going to change their minds about the movie due to this. This doesn't really have anything to do with the movie. What I would like to point out is that Cinemark has a corporate "no firearm" policy in all of their theaters and how stupid the idea of that sign actually is when it prevents licensed law-abiding citizens from carrying in there. Imagine if there had been one person in there with a CHL and how that could have significantly reduced loss of life and injuries.

Well, it would have stood a chance, but at the same time, he was in a bullet proof vest, and it was outstandingly chaotic; with all the tear gas and such. A ballistic vest doesn't mean he can't take rounds without flinching. It's like getting hit in the chest with a sledgehammer, and that's if he doesn't get hit in the head, neck, arms, legs, groin, etc. It may save your life, but it is going to do a lot of damage. This is another reason why people that choose to conceal carry should be get formally trained. Here's a perfect example that happened just days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm9o3vhKoF8
Mr. Zombie
Alright guys, if you're gonna debate about the effectiveness of a bullet on a bullet-proof vest, take it to another thread please. I know it was a tragic shooting and all, but try not to get off-topic less than half a day after the thread starts. :/

Mr. Zombie
MASSIVE SPOILER basically telling all the big moments of the movie(half of you will click it): [spoiler=]Alfred leaves you at around 1/4th through the movie. Batman goes to a giant pit prison. After training a shit ton while Bain takes over the city, he climbs out of the prison and heads to the city. One of your friends stabs you right as you're about to kill Bane. Catwoman kills Bane. Harvey Dent is Bain's father. Batman takes Bain's nuclear bomb and flies it over the bay, killing him and saving the city in the process. The main policeman (Blake) becomes Robin after finding Batman's belt. Thank you Arizona concealed gun laws. Also can't wait to see the movie.

"If only there had been someone else with a gun there to stop him. Because nothing is safer than having multiple gunmen in a dark, crowded theater full of panicky people running around." Here's a more realistic, less Hollywood sounding scenario: You're sitting in a theatre. 3 rows in front of you a man stands up and starts shooting. You first think it's part of the movie, then realize it's not. It's an unexpected event so you initially aren't sure how to react, you then fumble for your pistol, stand up, and get shot point blank because you just put yourself right in front of a gun firing maniac. Isaac
Lol, not going to hurt the movie sells. Movie Theaters are going to have people standing at the exits for now on... But I know to always sit in the back for now on.

Yes because it's much safer to have some crazy gun man with illegal guns against good people who aren't allowed to carry....sounds legit... Not saying i'd be a hero with a gun, but i sure do stand a better chance than i would being unarmed. None the less, it's terrible what happened. Don't want to turn this into a gun debate thread. Except its you with your handgun vs. A guy with body armor and automatic weapons. You have to fire accurately, all he has to do is fire in your general direction. Now if you did manage to hit him, more then likely in the chest he would have been staggered giving you an opening, except the guy had taken prescription strength pain-killers before he entered, so he wouldn't have felt probably anything. You would have just pissed him off enough that he decides to focus fire on you. tl;dr pistol vs auto (despite how it works in perp) doesn't work in real life. Mr. Zombie
Lol, not going to hurt the movie sells. The creators are considering pulling the movie from theaters until everything settles down. So yeah, it could potentially hurt sales.

ToXiC.
honestly i didn't like it only because i read the comics...they pretty much shitted all over the comics and wiped it on a film real and called it the dark knight rises... i loved anne hathaway in it she was amazing .. but they really fucked up the storyline so much. some things in it followed the original story but they fucked up many storylines along the way that couldve made the movie way better. they took the realism of batman and threw it out the window... the reason i originally fell in love with batman is because of its realism. one of the biggest twists will be ruined for anyone who reads the comics or has even played arkham asylum/city. the movie was a good movie.... but a terrible Batman movie. im not hating on it just because its popular. it's that they took something very dear to me and made batman into everything i hated about superheros. if you haven't read the comics you will like this movie but if you have read them then avoid it at all costs. now all i have to say is fuck you christopher nolan and your need to make giant hollywood explosions and ruining the whole reason why i fell in love with batman in the first place.
