OUYA is a open source (created by android) affordable console created by the makers of jambox. You can tweak it as much as you want and it wont void your warranty making it hacker friendly. Games like League of Legends, Minecraft, and even TF2 will be on it.

Did i mention that its going to be priced at $99?

I've been hearing a lot about this lately, but here's the thing.

1. The games will be free, which makes me believe that the company wont want to be paying companies millions and millions to get big name games and such onto the console, which will most likely lead to nothing but crappy indie games. Sure, there will be some really good indies, but look at the number of crap indies that have been made in the last month alone.

2. They said that they want you to make the box "your own" by hacking it. This leads me to believe that many people will be hacking into the game systems to give themselves an unfair advantage.

Personally, just from those two things that I realized out of this video, I'll have to wait until some REAL gamers get their hands on it and see how the community and everything is.

hacking can mean different things. Imagine mods for Minecraft on a console. That would be pretty awesome at the end.

Then again, why not have a computer that can run minecraft? (Damn near any.)

well for first this is console that you can plug in to the TV and is only for $99. Buying a video card and Minecraft itself would almost come out the same plus this is more conveniant and fun at times. And since its running on a Android OS im sure their will be apps that would also become conveniant like Netflix and stuff
