How to record/play a demo

I know there probably is a tutorial on this, but people are still constantly asking me how to do it, so heres a nice tut (despite the lag, but you get the point)

This is a typed out way of editing, but you should best watch the video.

 

You should have a Movie Config. (You don't need to but it's mostly used to get rid of the HUD [The health, armour, ammo, radar]).

 

Make sure you have Virtual Dub you can do the recording without it but it's a lot easier. You can also use Fraps, but it normally reduces fps in game. (Many videos showing on how to use Virtual Dub).

 

Sony Vegas or preferred editing software, you can also use Adobe After Effects. (I've only ever used this once). Add some effects and a title if you like, you've made a gaming video.
