Leaving Gmod Division

Hey everyone I am stopping my subscriptions to the Gmod divisions and Am thinking about leaving the division all together Gmod is only game i really like on steam thus I could be leaving [HG].

The number 1 reason is rules are nowhere being enforced when i am online. Which destroy's the fun of Perp and kills the once friendly gaming envirment, just to add to it the Perp Mods / And DA's plus cant do anything about unless they see. If I feel needed to record 24/7 just to play the game is not worth it to me.

I find dark Rp boring so that is out of the question.

I can deal with getting RDM'd a few times Because it is perp I expect it. But multiple times in same day is crazy. I only end up playing for 15 mins then leaving server as soon as I get RDM'd

(Primarily PERP)

With that being said it has been nothing but a fun and wonderful learning and gaming experience

I will be popping in and out of perp and rp to see if things change mabye 1 every 2-3 weeks or so

A special Thanks to

Rizon

&

Superskreech

And one more thing I will be on soon to give away 2mill perp cash!!!!!

Happy holidays everyone!

Mods/admins can't do much unless we physically see it. You need to understand that you need to record because we can't spectate you all the time. You need to have a part in this as well and you need to make reports and it will be dealt with.

With that being said, there's has recently been more help in the server and most likely more problems will be dealt with.

You still want your tags off? (Doing so will make you have to start as a recruit again if you wanted to come back in the future).

I'm going to take this time to explain, from my perspective, why we have it this way. I'm not trying to poke at you by saying what I say, just want to explain. (I'm bored with no homework, so, expect a large paragraph with no tl;dr. Also, I've sort of been on a "express how you feel because I want to feel important, even though I'm not" type of deal. So, bear with me until the end.)

It's a necessary evil (no pun intended, really...) that we use the system that we have right now, as in admins physically have to see it themselves or you post a ban report. I personally think that we only use it because it works without fail, to a certain extent. You get proof, we take action. We literally can't go on hearsay due to the fact that PERP is essentially infested with dirty fucking liars 99% of the time who constantly troll and only want bad things to happen to those they do not like....which is again, 99% of the server. As much as I'd love to slay/kick/ban every time I get a /report, I can't.

Take time off from the server. I took a "break" mostly because I thought GMOD had become boring (and I'm still, technically, on my break). Yeah, I hop on every once in awhile to help admin if necessary, but nothing much. It's the reason why I stepped down from my dA position. But after seeing this thread, I'll try to be more active. :)

Note: This part is ninja'ed about reasons why I stepped down. If you don't care, read on. (It's probably not related to this thread, but just a continuation of the last statement.)

After the first month or so, I started to dislike my job as a dA. It's not because I didn't like other dA+'s (I love you all! You're one of the reasons why I stuck around for so long!). It's not because I didn't like doing ban reports, recruit apps, admining the server, etc. It's because of the people of the server, with PERP in particular. It's worse than the League of Legends community, in my opinion. I'd have to say almost everyday, I ended up with a horrible feeling of needing to punch someone in the face after a couple of hours of PERP, most of the time because of some notable people who play the server quite often. These people will remain anonymous until I deem it's necessary to "unveil" their names. If I had done what I wanted to do to some, I would have slowly run the server down to shit. I wouldn't have pulled a "!ban @all 0 "You're fucking stupid."" per se, but I'd have a higher bans per day count than Reddevil and abuse reports on me daily. That's just a brief summary on one reason why I stepped down. Anyways, read the last bit.

I just want to add that just because you're in GMOD division, doesn't mean that you can't play other games. Divisions aren't here to make you feel entitled to play <insert game name here> because you're in the division, and from what I understand, that's not what leadership wants it to be. I simply think of it as a way to organize and group you guys, the players, with others who share the same interests. I'm still in GMOD division, but have been recently playing a lot of League of Legends, a little bit of Guild Wars 2 during their Lost Shores trial period, etc. So, don't leave the GMOD division, unless you absolutely want to. :D

This, sirs, is the level of thinking, boldness, and spokesmanship that it takes to be a leader in this community. Get your damn tags back boy. This is all that needs to be said, and all that should be said concerning the admin process in not only PERP but all our servers.

I'm trying to be on PERP more to deal with those who would disrupt the gameplay. PERP is a awesome server that I've personally spent a lot of time on. I'd hate to see it loose it population over a few assholes. :(

When there's no admins on, everyone's rdming and doing whatever they want but when an admin is on those same people are like "omg you noob you just hit him idc if its on accident I'm calling teh adminz on you"

Makes me mad =/

This is why we have demo's. They work now. Record a demo and report them on HGBans...

Admins do their part, and players need to do theirs too.

Well I know that and I try. The problem is that the people like to weasel around the rules and try to make lots of friends on the server as possible so that they won't get reported.
