Chief BigHand Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Hello my name is Chief BigHand and i have recently been playing on Hell's Gamers Counter Strike Jailbreak server. I love this server and have a lot of fun, but i think the admins take the topic of "racism" too seriously. For example, someone said the word "negro" in the chat and he was banned by an admin in a matter of seconds. I wanted to find the limits of racism so i simply asked the question "is negro racist?". I was immediately kicked and warned for being racist. I was quite angry, for i was not trying to tease or hurt anyone's feelings. I was not trying to be funny or be a smart ass to the admins in any form. All i am asking is that you please lighten up and give people a chance, and at least warn them in the chat before you ban or kick them. Thank you. Link to comment

We have no exceptions what so ever although we do give warnings not an instant ban. If you think it might be racist it probably is. No, no and no. Further clarification, if we give any leeway on the racism rule then all hell will break lose. Sooner or later someones going to say something bad and someone will take offense to it but the person who said is just going to say "Oh I was only saying it in a joking matter". Where do we draw the line, what jokes are too racist and what aren't? Which way do we say the n-word without it having a negative connotation. Everyone has their own belief on the matter and some have an extreme belief, (meaning they can say a joke that is utterly terrible and disgusting but still find it funny and still find it within the 'limitations' of the somewhat released racism ban). IMHO, its better to not have it at all to have it a little, gets rid of any perspective and just stops it where it starts and doesn't let it manifest. The admin (joker) didn't even give me any warnings. The procedure warn/kick/ban should have been followed, but it's up the admin's discretion on whether or not he/she deemed it racist or not.
