Admins Should Not Have Rules That Only They Know.

I can't believe I actually have to post this. I keep getting told that I am meta gaming and breaking rules that most likely everyone breaks because there is no rule for it.

 

Suggestion: Clarify all rules in F1. Sorry but there is no excuse to not have every defined rule you should not be able to use admin power on something that is not defined as a rule no exceptions.

 

I am tired of hearing people that are applying for mod or are mods talk about a rule that is not defined in the rules in F1.

 

I have a copy of the rules saved in a text file so I can run a search in notepad++ and I constantly hear people talking about a rule that simply does not exist and they will say is another rule when logically it is not.

 

Example: I will write it in code for you so you can't possibly make an argument.

Clarify the rule that ghosting is included as metagaming and I will stop ghosting when it is a defined rule till then please shut your mouth and stop telling others to stop doing things you do yourself.

with that attitude, all that is going to happen is that you will get banned from ingame, forums, teamspeak, etc.

 

 

Now if you would like to come onto the forums and kindly make a few suggestions, go for it. admins/moderators are here to help you, so if you have any question/comments/concerns, let them know and they will take care of it. Don't come on here expecting someone to do something about this with an attitude. Like I said, it will get you nowhere, our server, our rules! You must abide by them no matter what, and if you choose otherwise, then you are more than welcome to play elsewhere or get the punishment for not following our rules.

I personally tell everyone to be quiet in team speak during raids so that I can hear footsteps because I do not need someone to tell me where someone is and it could be false information if they did tell me.

2. No forcing people to crouch under or jump over props/entities in order to enter a base.

 

3. Suiciding to avoid RP is strictly prohibited. (i.e. Killing yourself to restore legs/Jumping in front of a vehicle to avoid arrest.)

 

4. No breaking New Life Rule (NLR). This means you may not return to the place or area at which you died for 300 seconds. Also upon respawning you have no memory of your previous life. If you are revived by a medic however, you are able to remember all that happened before. (This also means if you died during a raid you may not return to the base until the raid is over).

 

5. No randomly killing people (RDM). This includes killing people for their weapons, because they said something mean to you, revenge killing, random molotoving, etc...

 

6. No running over people with your car on purpose (CDM) without reason. You must make a serious attempt to avoid people while driving.

 

7. No punch-whoring. Do not randomly hit people with your fists or a bat for no reason.

 

8. No prop/vehicle climbing or people stacking. You cannot use any props, vehicles, or people in order to reach a part of the map you would not normally be able to reach. (This includes on top of car dealer.)

 

9. You may climb onto objects that you are able to jump on, although you must keep it in a role-play fashion. With the exception of shops; You may not jump onto the roof of shops or the awnings. The building behind penthouse is off limits.

 

10. No prop surfing, meaning you may not use a prop under your feet to boost you up to high areas.

 

11. No prop pushing. (i.e. You CANNOT prop push your cars if stuck.)

 

12. No prop blocking. You may not use a prop to block off any entrance or exit of any area on the map. Although you may prop block all but one entrance of your owned base, thus leaving one entrance/exit to be able to move through.

 

13. No growing in un-owned places. If you or a friend does not own the property and you cannot open unlock/lock the doors you may not grow there. As a side note you may not grow in a vehicle. (if pots are left out in public view and not in a property, they are fair game to get.) Note; It's no one's property so you CANNOT kill over it!

 

14. Loitering is when you hang around a property you have no business being near unless your raiding (Note: if you loiter to just loiter and not immediately raid you possibly could be kicked/banned).

 

15. No anti-afking. This means do not abuse any keyboard or mouse commands in order to circumvent the away from keyboard (AFK) system.

 

16. No custom jobs. Custom jobs include the following but are not limited to, hitmen, serial killers, or anything that promotes random death-matching.

 

17. In order to sell any items, you must own a shop and sell exclusively inside of the shop. This means you may not sell out in the street. Your car is not a shop.

 

18. Prior to shooting someone that is on your property you must give them a warning with a reasonable amount of time to leave, unless they pose a threat.

 

19. If you are raiding/defending, you may only kill the enemy if they are on the property. Also if they are near the property and are posing a threat. A threat constitutes having a gun in there hand.

 

20. Shops are for retail purposes only! (This includes Shop A-D.)

 

21. Traffic laws are in effect at all times, this means please try to roleplay drive as best as possible.

 

22. No racism, trolling, minging, disrespect of others players or admins, douchebaggery, advertising other servers/websites, spamming on the microphone/chat, and constant complaining/griefing.

 

23. Do not abuse OOC or advert. This means do not complain in chat about issues that occur in the server. Also do not use advert for anything other than in character advertising or threats to the mayor.

 

24. No committing suicide or disconnecting from the server, in order to avoid arrest or any form of punishment from an admin.

 

25. No hacking, scripting, botting, or exploiting of any kind. An example of exploitation would be copying a system 911 alert, or using props that are see-through on one side.

 

26. You may not threaten the mayor's life if the taxes are between 0% - 10%. There must be a 15 minute gap between kidnapping the mayor. You must give a fair amount of time and location for the ransom (mayors can pay their own ransom as well).

 

27. You may not rob the bank as a group. As long as you are in the bank (alive or unconscious) only you may defend yourself.

 

28. You cannot build a barricade in the base you are raiding.

 

29. You cannot kill a cop for ticketing your vehicle or tow truck driver for towing your vehicle.

 

30. One may not use props to make ramps for vehicles to drive off of.

 

31. Gangs CANNOT team up against the mayor in regards to kidnapping/assassination.

 

32. Mugging is not allowed.

 

33. You cannot revenge kill someone who killed a member of an allied gang.

 

34. In order to molotov somebody's shop you must actually own a shop and sell legitiment items prior to molotoving.

 

35. You CANNOT pick up any consumable or equipable items with your physics gun. (IE Moving a shotgun away from a corpse to pick it up.)

 

36. In order to kill the Mayor for high taxes (Sales/Income) They must be higher than 10% and you must make a legitimate threat via /advert.

You must give the mayor 3 paychecks to change taxes, if he doesn't then you have permission to assassinate.

 

37. In regards to raiding the same person/house constantly without giving the said person time to recover from raid, You can ONLY raid the same person/Organization every 30 minutes.

(This is in regards to a property basis; i.e. If a ORG has 2 bases in SUBS you can raid the first base, then the second. Once that is done you MUST wait 30 minutes.)

 

38. In regards to raid limitations to every 30 minutes, this includes ORG wide; Meaning you must communicate with your organization to ensure multiple raids are not occurring.

 

39. Car bombs should only be used in extreme cases which include; attempting to murder the mayor when taxes haven't been lowered with 3 paychecks, attempting to lower an organizations man-power in which you begin a raid upon them (gang wars).

Note: You are responsible for the innocent bystanders that are killed by your car bomb.

Maybe I missed but or didn't feel like reading but who is even telling you its metagame, hearing somebody plant cocaine is meta but you can't really do anything about it, hearing footsteps has nothing to do with meta.

ive had this arguement with people in teamspeak before, i think you were even in the channel.

 

perp has a ton of grey area in the rules, this isnt blues clues where you either found the clue or you didnt

 

so many situations rely heavily on context so if we were to have a rule for everything it might as well not even be a game simply options to click on a menu.

 

by ghosting i THINK you mean a dead person in teamspeak giving information to alive players. That's not ghosting. That's metagame. you're supposed to be unconcious, shut the fuck up. If you died in a raid and your org has no idea where you died, you shouldn't be going "im behind the fence call a medic hurry up" or something like that. most people will go "Fuck so and so just killed me" and thats not really a huge deal as long as you dont act on it
