If you open your inventory in a steam browser and drag an item from the inventory page to the steam chat then it will show in that person's chat box. The only way I know of doing colored chat is if you have a plugin that allows you to do it or if you look up how to do colored chat like Jeory does to make people think he is unboxing unusuals. That's exactly what I am talking about but not for unboxing tricks, basically to color the item name in my buying and selling ads to eliminate having to type to quality so it is less words and less spam.
