Everything feels better because you were younger and life was (most likely) better and you felt like you had more purpose. Now it's been three years and you still play JB, have even less purpose - of course older maps feel better. "oh you're upset / mad / can't handle it" is an even shittier argument. This isn't a beef-eating contest. This is about having a fun server JB is about having fun, hence why we make additions. While we're at it though for TBT might as well take out duck hunt and hurdles. You know what I think we should just revert to a 2007 map build complete with all the bugs it came with. Go big or go home with Throwback thursday! Due to a long time sourcemod error involving SQL, unloading certain plugins/changing the map while there hasn't been a refresh/map change in a long time creates a chance for the server to crash (it's like 50%), so we will NOT be changing the map mid gameplay. The only way to have it would be from 3PM thursday until 3PM Friday (the auto restarts), which is just silly. But enough of that, if you could just keep on topic, that would be great. They quit playing jailbreak cause of the new stuff.. I have been on the server almost every day for years, I have NEVER heard one person say "I stopped playing CSS JB cause of the mods", that is silly. Steam doesn't downgrade its servers once a week because people want that nostalgic 1.6 feeling... So they can piss off 95% of the community that DO play almost every day that enjoy the mods which were implemented, or they can piss off the 5% that cannot accept change. Sirius thing is though, those older players didn't leave hg or stop hanging out with hg, they just quit playing the server they always hung out in before, jb. Like cookie said I can list quite a few people who stopped playing on our jb server because of it. And clearly having 1 day a week where it goes back to "how it used to be", is Not making the "new" ones leave cause it's been like that for quite a while. It's only making more "old ones" kinda stay, even if it's only one day a week. the "old" ones dont even ask for a 50/50 division, all they have is One day, all they ask for, is One day. If that can keep bringing 100% of the usual jb community to our server, what's so bad about 1 day of "old school jailbreak".. and as reddevil already stated I haven't been in jailbreak since dinosaurs stopped talking, but that doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion right especially when I am convinced I am one hundred percent making perfect sense! 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
