Decent Gaming Desktop <$600

Recommended Posts

Hello i'm looking to get a decent gaming rig. It's been awhile since I bought a computer so I would like some help and suggestions. I found what appears to be a decent rig for under 600, but with all nice things, theres always a catch. I would like some peoples opinion on this computer: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Refurbished+-+Refurbished+ENVY+Desktop+-+10GB+Memory+-+1TB+Hard+Drive+-+Black/1307357552.p?id=mp1307357552&skuId=1307357552

Also I would appreciate if you can show me other computers that would be pretty cheap but reliable. Games i usually play are LoL, CS:GO, various steam games.

The computer runs on dedicated graphics, not on a actual video card so it would run laggy and slow at times.

I suggest building something instead, maybe a mini atx pc with a cheap motherboard but a good processor and video card.

Yea i can build a computer, im just looking for a cheap solution for getting a computer

Yes but I don't think you're listening to what everyone is saying, you can build a decent computer for the price you're suggesting and get better performance than a prebuilt computer from Best Buy.

Also in regards to that best buy computer, I'm going to tell you what Monkey tells everyone else. Friends don't let friends buy AMD Processors.

I'll make and exception for a sub $600 computer though.

I really have no idea what to look for when building a computer. So far when i asked some other friends they gave me these parts:

I wouldn't touch that SSD with a 10 foot stick, let alone your dick. An important part of selecting any sort of computer part is to make sure it has a decent and fair warranty. Adata does not. AVOID.

If you're on a $600 budget don't go for the SSD, also you're not going to have enough to spend on other parts if you drop $400 on a processor and graphics card
