In terms of drops in CS:GO, what i know is that the map has to change, the notification has to be clicked and CS:GO cannot be in text mode like TF2. Idling for drops i'm not sure about anymore since the new changes, but what i know how to idle for rep.

 

By right clicking the game in steam and selecting Properties, you can change launch options into using text mode with no sounds and such.

By using something around the lines like this, you can idle in a server for rep and such while using little to no memory because everything is in text mode. Unfortunately this won't work on drops because Steam will disable drops when you run text mode. But if ur just idling for rep, this should work until full server kicks in. I doubt this is illegal because what ur doing is simply changing the settings of the game into something convenient. Its not that thing that twitches you so you appear to be there and it is not a script/hack, but all it does is lets you join a server, go into spec and idle without stressing your rig.

Idling works, but it isn't worth it because max. I got until now was like 4 drops per week, 2 skins and 2 cases ... to check it, visit some servers with the tag "idle" and the map is on most "achievement_idle"

My method was never intended for drops cause the new changes don't allow drops in text mode. This is for like when a server gives rep or points and you can idle for it.

What We Know So Far

Average Ammount of Drops Per Week: 4

Average Drops Per Day: 2

You will encounter people claiming they got 5 in 1 week: It might be a glitch or a lie

Average Ammout of each type of drop: 2-Crates, 2-Skins

Can drops be gotten on every server?: Yes

Can I be a fool troll and team shoot and mic spam and still get drops?: Yes

How random are the drops?: Very Random

When drops recived: At the end of a game

Winning or Loosing, dead or alive does not effect if you get drops.

Drops only on VAC Protected Servers

Score does not effect drops.

No Drops from playing "Offline With Bots"

Join late on last round and get a drop?: Yes

Steam Levels effect drop amount: No

Drops can drop dupes on you even if you have them

Arms Race Drops: Yes

Local Servers Dont Drop

Can I get drops on an empty server?: No

Drops with bots on a server: Yes

Drops for spectating: No

Idle Servers Drop: Yes, but not recomended Since its against Valve Rules

No Cvars to control drop rates for servers
