I just joined HG, and have been procrastinating to do this, so I guess while I have nothing to do at the moment! First of all, HG servers got me to start loving the trade system in TF2. I didn't really trade before, so I was kinda new and a bit scared. So many people were nice and friendly on the HG server I was on, even the admins talked to the newcomers and joked around with them. Second, video games have kept me sane all my life. I've been through rough situations, but videogames were always there for me. I play lots of games, from fighting to RPGS.
