For me it had to be Call Of Duty 4, When I first got into MLG/Gamebattles and played my first competitive stuff almost 6 years ago with a friend of mine from school, we played team deathmatch and always hid in the grass after we got first kill, my most nostalgic memory was a TDM MLG match we played on Overgrown (The grassy map with the barn etc) we tied the enemy team 6 times in a row and the match took almost 3 hours, Good times.

I remember doing CoD4 on Lan parties, was crazy, people screaming across the room on kills. and holy shit 3 hours for a match that nutz

final fantasy 3 US. played the game for 30 plus hours, part of a continent becomes a floating island. lots of crazy shit and seems like the end of the game. beat the boss at the end. then realizing i was less than half way through the game.

mind = blown. havent found anything that interesting in a game since then. and that was almost 20 years ago.

I Remember Halo 3 was very special to me for couple reasons, one i was like 10 years old at the moment and I was incredibly good, two i always used to get huge parties and play this custom game called Duck Hunt, and lastly me and my brother had made this awesome map that started to go around and people had really liked it! This is what duck hunt looked like , ignore the "commentators"

Mine has to be getting the Crissaegrim in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. That random drop sword that when paired with another in your shield hand can totally break the game! I had already beaten Dracula the hard way with the Alucard Sword.

Another honorable mention was getting the Kikuichimonji sword in Golden Sun. That sword that only has a 1/256 chance of dropping from Fenrir's in the Venus Lighthouse. Sure you could boost the drop chance by killing them with the Djinni they are weak too but it's still a pain in the butt unless you save scum it in a room that has a guaranteed first encounter being a Fenrir. Plus if any other mobs show up, you gotta kill them first so the Fenrir's drop takes priority. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get that sword by soft resetting and the like. It's almost as bad as trying to get the Guisarme sword for Slade in Shining Force 2 from the Dwarven Blacksmith when ordering weapons made from the Mythril you find across the world.

The first time I played an online fps was at a friends house in halo 3 in 7th grade. I was instantly hooked and we played online all night.

I got my own xbox and of course halo 3 was practically the only thing I'd play. I hated custom games, and stuck to online playlists. The exception was a map called "taco training". It was obstical map, and rumor had it if you completed the map you got the infamous recon helmet. This map was damn hard. I probably spent the better part if 100 hours trying to complete it. Of course, I never did and I doubt recon was even a prize since it wasn't official, only a rumor.

Playing ranked playlists was the best, I was level 35+ in most of them. My favorites being team deathmatch, lone wolf, doubles, and snipers.

Lone wolf was my highest ranked playlist, level 46 was my max. I think that put me at a colonel, right? I don't know for sure but it was one rank below general. Grinded for so long to get to 46. Just when I would rank up, lose a few more and be back down where I started. This playlist was the most frustrating, and probably resulted in a broken controller or two,

My brother and I would play team doubles all the time. Split screen but we were still good. We could strategize with one another a lot better than a friend in a party or solo queueing. Each map we and our own strategy and won a pretty good chunk of all our matches. Inwas definitely somewhere in the 40's in this playlist but no higher than 44. I actually remember one time my and my bro were playing and something got him pissed off. He kicked our rockband drum set and snapped the red end piece right off.

I had damn near every achievement for this game and most other halo games too until I stopped playing console. Though, there was this one damn achievement that was so elusive I could never get it. I don't remember the name but you had to kill like 5 enemies with a single spartan laser shot.

I don't have one specific memorable moment because I enjoyed the game so much nearly all of it is memorable. I wish 50000 people still actively played the game, best halo IMO

Some of my most memorable console moments were playing twisted metal, or golden eye with my friends staying up hours on end doing nothing but killing each other all night. when I finally got into the online multiplayer it was a different story. i got into it late. I went to a friends house and played on xbox live for my first time on a game that just launched 'Halo 2'. it was the most thrilling experience i ever had while playing vidya games. I just remember after i was done with the match my hands were shaking and I was out of breath from all the excitement my next paycheck i bought xbox live and halo 2 and it was gg pretty much up until a year after the xbox 360 launched. I went through 4 halo 2 discs and still have the only one that works sitting right next to me as i write this. I wound up fighting my way up, no lifeing it on the weekends between school and my part time job. wound up meeting some of the coolest people on match making and custom games. achieved lvl 50 played for a IGN clan but wound up leaving cause they were stuck up bholes...and my schedule didn't quite match theirs. but halo 2 fellas was an amazing game for me. it had something that the others didn't...maybe it was the super bounces, sword cancelling or the sweet button combos like b x b, or the double shot with the BR idk, when halo 3 came out it just didn't catch my attention and that is when i made my transition over to the PC.
