Photoshop/ Gimp Question

Dear photoshoppers

 

 

i have no idea where to start to how to do this, i think this will be a hard one to do me and "SLOPHOLE" tired working on this for about and HR and didnt come up with anything.

 

i want to make skeletons from pics, meaning i want to take out the colour and only leave Black outline/just the black

 

here is a Eg.

 

this is full pick with colour i want it out

In photoshop the easiest way would probably be using the sketch filter.

Would look like this:

Just needs to be cleaned up a bit.

 

Haven't used Gimp in a long time, but if iirc it has some sort of edge detection, may want to try that.
