Reality
Over the last few weeks/months I've been trying to get Hammer to work with Garry's Mod 13 but there will be always an error to stop me. The current problem with it is that once I hopen hammer.exe from "GarrysMod/bin" folder it shows up some party of it and crashes instantly and writes a crash dump file. At first it required me to add a gameinfo.txt file into the directory "GarrysMod/cstrike". I copy-pasta'd the one from the cstrike folder. So now I'm completely lost on what to do. I've tried using the Source SDK but it just gives me a "missing wireframe" eror and ruins everything. Help!
Fuzzy Dice
do you need to run it for garrys mod?. if you run it for counterstrike i find it's a little smoother. u can still use counterstrike maps for gmod there is no difference Edited January 25, 2014 by Fuzzy Dice
Acrasulter
I used to get the same error, search the error on google and dig around. You should find a fix.
Short
Don't use source sdk it's obsolete and barely works, as for using hammer you should use sdk 2013, you have to set up the paths (game config) in hammer.
