The most important one; Optimization, the map has no optimization and the game is making everything render at the same time; the fog isn't helping in that aspect, either. http://puu.sh/88G1q You can see the budget showing a considerable use of resources in rendering all of the area, with the fog there is, these shouldn't be drawn. http://puu.sh/88FZ0 Another example of all visleaves being shown; you will need a heavy use of hint brushes, areaportals and occluders to make this open area work adequately; i'm getting 25-30 fps in the map, at med settings; this, on the high popuilation server would turn into 7-10 fps. http://puu.sh/88G4m Even inside the cinema, things are rendering. Other things of interest: http://puu.sh/88FEd Adjust your brush geometry to the props (or use brush handrails), not the props to geometry, this looks kinda awkward. http://puu.sh/88FxY These look awkward, too; you are not supposed to be able to see through their sides, they're supposed to be embedded into the ceiling; i know it takes a lot of work to create holes in the brushwork for these to fit in but its still a really nice detail when done right. http://puu.sh/88Fx4 I think there's a brush missing here. Irontaco Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Well, no problem; but it's probably not fully optimized, i did it as best as i could with the time i had and what i know about optimizing levels using areaportals and hints.
