Burnt
Some members of the community have been wondering why we do not do any European events, other divisions as well as CS:GO have trouble hosting them due to time issues. Well, CS:GO took the leap of faith twice these past months and decided to tackle the issue of waking up early and hosting them a manageable time for Europeans. Since then we have had two EU events which were Michael Myers (Hosted by myself) and Dodgeball (Hosted by Icon). At both of these events we have been less than satisfied by the amount of Europeans that actually take part in the events planned for them, which you will see in the pictures posted below. I will not speak for CS:GO division itself but, for me, I will no longer host an EU event unless it can be proven to me that people will show up. Thank you for your time, this will be the thread linked to people who ask for EU events. The winners of the Dodgeball event were : 1st place - Magicman, 2nd place - Magicman, 3rd place - Magicman If I remember correctly 3 Quote Link to comment

Xaioa
Michael Myers event was at 18:00 for me. This is dinner time in most of the European countries, I am not supprised that not alot of EU Members showed up. Also, most of our EU Members are young and work most likely during the weekends cause during the week they have school. This means they will not have time to join an EU timed event. (Say perhaps 14:00) Dodgeball Event was at 19:00 for me. This is a better time because we will have had our dinner and most of us will not be working at that time. This event was just a matter of interest in playing Dodgeball (and maybe the lack of interesting prizes)\ At this Dodgeball event there were enough people to had some giggles. Are the events supposed to attract the whole HellsGamers Community to contribute in the events? In my opinion, just a couple of people will do enough for an event like: Dodgeball: Less Chaos Less chance of spawn kills More room for 'tactics' instead of just throwing your grenade. Mike Myers: Better chance of surviving Not finding a lot of people easely as Mike Myers Less people blowing your cover by not having enough hiding spots on a map. Just my European opinion. 1 Quote Link to comment
iAman
I do agree from your point that u don't want to host them but a while back someone said have eu advisor I think have one in every division making it that you guys don't waste ur time doing thse events and let the eu advisor take it over. But I do see it from ur descisiom and what it's like for u. Maybe 2 pm est would be good. Edited November 29, 2014 by iAman Quote Link to comment

(evko)KingSlayer
I mean they get one I agree with this tf2 division has 1 european advisor and 1 european dL. We only need 1 American dA which we also have. So EU Events are not a problemo for tf2. Quote Link to comment
ASCII
We have plenty of staff that covers both american and european times. TF2 has a euro da and dl not because they are european, because they were the right fit for their division. We have NA based DA's who do plenty with our european members. Burnt is letting the european members know we need them to step up and be little more apart of the scene, this WHOLE community is volunteer driven. 4 Quote Link to comment
ASCII
BTW, DA's are usually promoted for these reasons: 1. Active and available 2. Friendly with people skills 3. respect authority and chain of command In other words it takes alot to be a DA, and even after being one it takes time to fully realize the full role of a DA and to be good at it. 4 Quote Link to comment
