Zombie Survival Project Improve Map Rotation

 


The purpose of this thread is to improve the map rotation, improve maps for our server, and get more variety in the server.

 

We need your help and suggestions on new maps to play, any issues with current maps, and maps that should be on/off the rotation.

 

The following link contains a list of every map on the server as well as available links to download the maps, and other information that will be added in the future.

 

We also encourage our players who are interested in creating their own maps for the server to mess around with hammer editor. Maps catered specifically to the game play of hgzs are the most desired and have the greatest success of making it onto the server. If you are developing a map for hgzs, please make a thread here to keep us updated.

Map Balancing

 

Map balancing is for maps that are not broken, but need some modification that would make it better suited for hgzs.

 

I encourage you to check some of the maps currently on the server but off the rotation since these are the easiest to get back on rotation.

Map fixes are for maps that have a broken aspect that is ruining the map, gameplay, and keeping it off rotation.

bungalows - extremely poor fps and boring for zombies. human OP

neighborhood - resupply crates clip through floor and puke pus attack through floor exploit.

pathogen - doors disappear and lots of user crashing with new gmod update

Can we remove vertigo v14 completely i hate when scrubs accidently vote for wrong map and everyone dies

 

for those who have played vertigo and want more of a challenge besides an extreme pointwhore fest, i actually prefer v14 over v12. the only issue i have with v14 is the lighting is absolute shit.

 

however, i expect both v12 and v14 to remain on the server. getting them on rotation would be another story.

 

waiting to see how the new map votemap list works before i make any comments about what we should do with those 2 maps.
