Arsenal Crate Findings

Okay so with the sole purpose of point whoring as I stated I would for awhile I've determined a few things:

 

First and foremost is that the amount of arsenal crates and resupply boxes are in fact a huge problem. HOWEVER the commission rate has nothing to do with this problem. Doesn't matter if it's 3, 5, or 7% people are still going to use worth to buy crates and attempt to point whore and afk.

 

The funny thing about that though is by all these crates existing rarely anyone profits a whole lot from it and the only thing that comes from it is people have a hard time building cades or defending it because they'll accidentally clip into the crates.

 

The entire time I did this I averaged anywhere from 180 points (If I guessed where the final cade would be incorrectly) to almost 700 by getting to the spot where the cade would be and then proceed to help with the cade.

 

I would gauge that the problem is not in the points themselves because I honestly believe if you predict where the cade is going to be and get your crate down first then more power to you. Don't be surprised however if someone sees this and starts their own cade in an alternate location.

 

 

 

The huge problem we are going to address going forward though is the sheer amount of crates and the amount of people who afk. In order to start resolving this we have cut the AFK total timer significantly. Increasing the radius of crates might also help since the game engine won't let us noclip the crates and be able to interact with them.

 

In order to ENCOURAGE people to actively participate in defending the cade instead of afking we have thought of the suggestion that perhaps there be a victory payout to humans. The amount would need to be talked about and would probably be higher for objective based maps but this would create a universal interest in humans to cooperate to the point of actually trying to win and not just make a piss poor attempt at point whoring. I'm not so hot on the idea of a victory payout though I haven't given it much thought so I can't say much.

 

I will say however that with the cratewhores, they tend to "AFK" such that they are not AFK but rather sit and watch, moving around from time to time to get better angles on what the situation is for the crates. I completely agree with you on the fact that if you place an arsenal in the right place, good for you. But I don't think earning that much is justifiable. Many people have earned well above the 500 mark, and even though they are not top earners, they certainly take the top profiter, thus leaving many people to salivate over such easy profits. Shouldn't guns be a more profitable option? But I digress.

 

People are fine with quitting youtube and watching the carnage while doing nothing. They well know that if they are slacking, the humans are going to try much more desperately to earn the profits and reduce deficit spending. Having a victory payout MIGHT make SOME cratewhores switch. But they could just as easily afk. We all know zombines will tear down any cade. If everyone bought adonis's and grims, we could still lose and everyone as at a deficit spending. Cratewhores will realize it's better to smack a crate, earn 600, then lose the round. Note: feedback not trying to start some flame war like FO4

I'm not sure if I'm reading what you're saying properly, are you saying multiple people make 500+ with their pointwhoring/afking? Because Even when I was the sole arsenal crade behind a door cade in Infirmary(we won barely) I only made my highest recording of a few less than 700.

Meant to say 1 to 3 people per map are witnessing this.

 

Once I consolidate all my data I'll post here the screenshots or data, from players who feel like this is a problem, of cratewhores.

 

I have a recent one myself of an HG member earning over 2700. Granted this was double points but the figure could be reduced to 1200 easily on a normal run.

 

For every 1 human win, there are several dozen losses. Infirmary was already human sided. Idk how you got doors on that map, perhaps you meant insurance? Either way it slightly depends on the beginning waves. If made to fall back prematurely, you'll make several hundred more. If the zombies broke in at wave 4, you're looking at 500 or more.

AFK reduce the time you understand that some people go to the bathroom and eat between matches not?

I eat and poop at the same time, though I've gotten the two mixed up before and have accidentally ate poop.

 

The AFK timer is still plenty of time to go to the bathroom or go make a sandwich, but if you're driving to Wendys or something people should expect to be kicked.
