EngineTrap Posted December 20, 2015 Share Posted December 20, 2015 It has almost been 2 months since the Votemap feature got removed, me and many people else miss all the maps that were accesible via Votemap, so why dont we do a special event for the 25th in which we play all those maps like: *Obj Vertigo *Obj Upward *Obj Dump *Crest of Waves *Helipad maybe? and *Bluevelvet or Reactor You may notice most of the Maps i am talking about are Obj maps, thats because its the obj maps that get removed even if they are good like Upward or Vertigo because lets be honest most the survival maps get removed because they are bad. So why dont we organize something like this to remember all those good moments and even earn some points! All of the maps are taken off once it's played and do not re-appear until the entire rotation is played. Ancient sand is barley even played anymore thanks to the new win system giving people the need to vote for shitty maps. The reason they got removed were because their are human sided, for example under pass. Also the fun maps got removed as a result of new players picking it as of its name, like Krusty krab and youravirusinsidejoe. This doesn't explain why they removed votemap, I think they removed cause kids where spamming VERTIGO VERTIGO VERTIGO every ten seconds, but what about all the other maps we don't play.There has to be an answer. TheAtrocity Posted December 21, 2015 Share Posted December 21, 2015 If you read the last part of my signature here on forums, you'll basically find out why objective maps are so far and few in between, disregarding the fact that just several months ago, we were in a bad situation of playing objective maps back-to-back with literally no break. Maps are taken off rotation for the sole reason that they're either broken, cause people to crash, or gm_flatgrass. Anyways, some good maps not currently on the list should still be put on the rotation. It's fine for me (and possibly many others) that even if OBJ maps are less common now on the rotation, as long as I still can play on Vertigo.
