EngineTrap Posted May 29, 2016 Share Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) So After a Literal Month of Work and Compiling I can finally Present you: Objective Salvation! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1zdsUIo1sg "When you get stranded on a top Office during the Zombie Apocalypse its your job to safely find a way into the streets below to seek for help, however you start a journey which ends up in you crossing the Burned and Abandoned Remains of the Orbital Plus+ Office Building, An Abandoned Small Office Complex, Crossing through Broken Rooftops, Going Down the Lift of a Zombie Filled Construction Tower and many more challenges... " -Official Legit Map Description (lol) The Map is like an inverse Vertigo, You start in the top of a Building and then you need to go Down into the Streets Below. The Map lasts around 65 Minutes but it can be shorten to just 55 if the humans proceed quickly to do all the objectives making it the longest Objective Map ever (I think), I made a full description of the map in the Steam Page so check it out there or test it by yourself. I even went so far to make an Entire 15 Track Soundtrack which you can find here:https://soundcloud.c...vation-original I truly put a lot of effort into this Map and I tested It countless times until it was finally glitchless, So it would be nice to test it out in this week to see how it does with our lovely Kleiner filled Server. Note: This Map isnt a replacement for zs_obj_exulansis (which I will update soon to v7 which reduces more than 40% of the file size, I just need some time to rest and to see how Salvation does.) Thanks to Mr.Nightmare, Bunny and many other for their support as I made this map. Version 4 is live and working. Its still under the same ID as v2 so I dont need to change the link at all. Update log: V4 UPDATE! -Added a lot of optimization in the inside areas and some outside areas -Reduced the waiting time for the Lift of the Construction Tower by 1 minute and 30 seconds -Added a more detailed and good looking 3D Skybox. -Removed some floatings props near the lift. -Reduced time of the Lobby after the first checkpoint by 30 seconds. -Added more details to the hallway before the Second Elevator Ride. -Removed a lot of useless props that couldnt be seen from anywhere. -Added a working Redeem System. -Added 3 doors for doorcading in the Lobby of the Orbital Plus+ Building. The map can be found as "zs_obj_salvation_v4a" in the Zombie Survival Section of the Map Selection Menu. If you are wondering what happened to v3 the only thing I can tell you is that v3 became corrupted and I was forced to use v4 instead of v3 because it wouldnt let me compile it with "3" in the name. This Should improve FPS a lot on the Inside areas and most of the Outside Areas, I still need to work to find a way to optimize the Main Lobby better but It should do fine for now. Yeah its very likely people are gonna pointwhore a lot, The Map is very balanced so there should be enough room for humans to pointwhore while zombies can progress and kill humans. Second screenshots Wow this hole will cause you a lot of trouble when you start optimizing, there are several in the map, you must absolutely redo this part (Orbital Plus+) Third Screenshots Never put nodraw on displacement, never Fourth screenshots I wanted to see your map more precisely but I cant decompile your map i have error, this may come when there are huge error on this map, when you compile this map you have a text document this document is really important it can tell you the error on the map. And about the "leaks" I checked it tons and tons of times in both hammer and interlopers and no single leak apeared so it must be something else. Anyways Im uploading v3 of Salvation tomorrow night which will add a redeeming sistem, optimization and shorten a bit the time of the map. Thanks for the support!
