Zeused Posted October 13, 2017 Share Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) some servers have a bot command for the people on the server to vote for (basically puts everyone on T and the bot on CT) and the bot is unkillable. basically just a practice bot for people. also would help out the people who want to populate the server have some fun. (tbh i dont think anyone would join an empty server with nothing to do) ps - so far ive seen no dodgeball related rules such as - no stealing (optional. tbh i dont really care if this is put in) - no teamkilling (killing yourself while a rocket is yours does a weird glitch and goes for another person. they wont know its theirs either because they dont hear the sentry noise) - no orbiting for too long (keeping the rocket to yourself and trolling) just some rules. feel free to add some '-' Edited October 13, 2017 by _Zeus 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The longest I have seen someone orbit when I was on a dodgeball server was almost for a full minute when the rocket finally went off on the ground as it sped around him in a almost perfect small circle. Dude didn't even have to move. Since he was the last one alive on the team, there was no one to stop him with their own airblast. If no "no orbiting for too long" rule is not added, could it at least be, "Do not orbit for more than X seconds as the last one alive on your team" "No stealing" may not need to be added. Nothing is funnier then when a rocket comes right at you and someone tries to steal it but only gets themselves killed in the process. I personally have not played on the Dodgeball server yet, but if the round carries on for to long does it A, add more rockets, B, make rockets start with higher velocity, C, just end the round in a draw, D, give everyone a melee weapon to end it like men, or E, other. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Eton145 Posted October 13, 2017 Share Posted October 13, 2017 if you can, make points perm on gameme for the dodgeball server only (alot of people like that in dodgeball) If they make points perm then there def needs to be a rule about "No point farming I.E. pyros on both teams intentionally spam air blasting a rocket a point blank to farm the reflect points" - I don't recall there being a "No point farming" in the MOTD but I know it is already a rule on all point enabled HG servers. For the rtd it should be edited for Dodgeball. Sentry would auto-rekt / ruin a round since a well placed one would kill most of the enemy team within its 20 seconds (I doubt noobs will reflect sentry missiles). No Toxic since when ever I see someone roll Toxic, they just rush a spawn and spawn kill farm for it's whole duration. Make the rtd for Dodgeball partially resemble the CS:GO TTT one? All effects are round long instead of 20 seconds. Low grav / high grav, bonus HP / lose HP, stripped for X duration or gain a melee, freeze ( only X seconds), and whatever others I am missing, or make another suggestion thread for "roll the dice" ideas. More maps is almost always more fun assuming the map is not broken or exploitable. Zeused Posted October 13, 2017 Author Share Posted October 13, 2017 just disable free vip on the server so there is no point in points :-) and yep, the rtd should be edited. but the sentry rtd isnt as bad as you think '-' and almost all the tf2 dodgeball maps can be exploitable. sucks but whatevs also - i think we should actually have an eu server starting with dodgeball. ping is noticed when it comes to dodgeball because your airblasts are delayed leaving me to guess when i should M2 '-' Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
