Combine
So I have been using photoshop for a long time. But... I have never been able to open .ICO (standard windows icon files) files. I wanna know if there are maybe plugins for addons I can get in photoshop to open them. or just something that would allow me to edit these files without having to convert them first. This is the error I get when opening them. https://gyazo.com/f898139b3273b0292379b58d14acaf8f

Combine
pyrrhic that's what I use now but it's kinda a pain to convert it then photoshop it and, convert it back that's, why I wanted to know if there was an easier, like something to just make photoshop open them. Adobe Photoshop does not allow to open, edit or save an ico file directly, but with the assistance of a free and open source plugin named "ICO FORMAT", you can open and save an icon file within Photoshop.
