Kevinyock Posted April 26, 2018 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I am currently working on a new version of ancient sand to fix some minor visual bugs, optimization improvements,some balances to lower the win rate since it is at around 20%, and a Brand new Admin room for things that server scripts cant do or things that staff would not like to constantly do it over and over. I am currently looking for new suggestions that you guys want to see on ancient sand for the next 2 - 3 weeks. After 2 - 3 weeks, I will put out a yes/no vote for each of the suggestions you guys put out and those with a simple majority will be a feature on the map. As for the admin room,this room can be used for making the game more challenging/More interesting. So far they are: Extending the round up to 7,8,9 and 10 waves. Force bosses Possibly a env_screenoverlay similar to the ones at ze_santisization. There are also some things that will make a zombie life easier such as a friendly display message for zombies on which teleport leads to certain areas. This is by far the best thing ever to happen to this map. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to tell new players directions to "Christmas". The only thing that I could really think to add in general is more than 1 entrance to some of the regularly caded spots. In general, when u select zombie type on the f3 menu, having it instantly kill you would be an added bonus, as that's what we had on QG. It helped a lot of new players on OBJ maps that had problems advancing, and it also saved me 15 seconds of opening console to type kill. I love this map and its one of my favorite maps since it has so much variety but there's a reason why there's 6 waves and only 6 waves on default zs. If you're really planning on extending it limit yourself to an extra wave 7, HOWEVER take in mind this means another round of potentially cade killing zombines and another shot at zombies to go shade or nightmare rush a barely surviving cade. Wave 7 is not a thing to mess with and can mess maps really badly like in zs_last_stand_mall. Just take all that in mind if you add a 7th wave to this classic beloved map. Also,I do take into consider how it will affect the gameplay. But you are free to throw in any suggestions on this thread. Plus it might give zombies some additional time to break through and give people who spent alot of time building the back cade however,it is never used because of zombies not having enough time to break though.
