Admin / Moderator Guide

Congrats & welcome new moderator. This guide will help you with your various responsibilities & roles you now have as a Divisional Moderator. If you have any questions feel free to ask a Division Staff or Division Leader.

In-game Moderation

  • As an Admin, you will get access to admin commands in-game.
    • Abusing these commands will result in your immediate demotion/removal of admin.
  • As an Admin, you get absolutely no immunity. You are still required to follow all the same rules as a moderator.
  • When on our servers make sure to treat everyone with respect.
    • We will not accept you targeting or disrespecting players on our servers. Acting in such a way could result in your demotion/removal of admin.
  • Do Not mass punish the server. If multiple people are breaking rules take care of them, there is no reason the whole server needs to be punished because of a group of randoms rule-breaking.
    • If a good 50% of the server is mic spamming, you are allowed to mass mute everyone so you can get your word through which afterwards, you are required to unmute everyone immediately.
  • If you are unsure about procedures go to the links below or contact a Division Staff/Division Leader.

HG Bans

  • ONLY ban for 60 minutes.
    • Never ban for anything under 60 minutes.
    • This allows the leadership team to review it without the suspect reconnecting & causing additional issues.
  • Always be professional on ban reports.
    • Never cause drama on ban reports.
    • When posting ban reports Never treat the suspect or the reviewer in a rude or disrespectful way.
  • Conversations or arguments are Not Allowed on the bans page.
    • If a conversation or argument has started on the bans page DO NOT participate. Go to a Division Staff or Division Leader of tf2 explaining what has happened.
    • Participating in conversations or arguments on the bans page will make you liable for the same punishments as the suspect. Remember it takes 2 people to start a fight.
  • Do Not post on ban reports if you do not have proof to add.
  • Do Not argue with leadership about their decision on the ban report, if you think they reviewed a ban incorrectly contact a Division Leader or Gaming Director to sort it out.
  • If you are unsure whether you have sufficient proof to ban a player, post a ban report on the bans page.
