If you want a cooler that your cpu wont overheat try this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154011 and it has a fan control for the fan in it.

Now for a case, i have this one and have had no problem with heat you cant put up 7 120mm fans and 1 80mm for the blow hole at the top : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811166033

here are pics of them (sorry its on another website):

Now the case comes with blue neon fans but i put red fans instead. But its a case that isnt that common like cooler master, etc.

bleh at the case but that cpu cooler is a nice fan, might grab that thanks

That CPU cooler is descent for duals but not that great for 63$ on a quad. There are better ones for quads, like these.

These two will work best for overclocking, if not overclocking, the Dark Knight will work fine, then again so will a stock HSF ;)

think that first one would allow me to get up to around 3.8 i want to get to around 3.8 or a 4.0 (yes i'm crazy) or do you know of any other hsf like that that would allow me to clock up to that speed without water cooling?

how about this http://www.heatsinkfactory.com/thermalright-true-black-120-rev-a-cpu-cooler.html

That one is good, thats called the "TRUE" but it's old and not the best for that much $

I have the Noctua running my i7 at 4.0 with no issues. If I was going to spend close to 100$ today for a heatsink, I would go with this. This is THE best air heatsink you can get, no questions asked.

1. Get the AM2 retention kit

2. Get two 120x25 fans, look up each fan and determine what you want. Some of those are loud as shit and blow ridiculous, some are super quiet and still work well. All in waht you want.

3. Get OCZ thermal paste (newegg has it)
