rL10
BUILD A RIG COMPETITION What is this about? Soon enough, within the next 2 months hopefully, I come into a bit of money and wish to buy a new gaming rig with some of the money that i recieve. What is your role in this? Simple the budget I set below will be the maximum of what I am willing to go to. BUDGET: £800 or $1,228 What's in it for you? Well simple, this is a competition, so whoever can give me the best build set up and/or best value rig will win a prize on steam of a £40 game or $61, but... obviously there are specifications. Specifications: All entries submitted must have a screenshot or link to the build. All entries must have shipping to the UK, e.g. overclockers.co.uk. Must be able to run current gen games on maximum settings or close to this. For the above item this includes 3Ghz+ CPU. ATI graphics card preferred, and preferred model 5770. All entries must have Windows 7 Home Premium. So you think you can do it? Take a shot! Good luck! And a winner will be chosen when the selected build model has been ordered. I will note down the forum ID and private message them requesting their steam friends name in order to gift a game of their choice. Heavy
You do realize that the frequency of the cpu doesn't matter as much as what's in it right? For example a i7 920 is better than a Phenom II x2 555 but the 555 has higher frequency. Also can we link you parts from US sites such as newegg? Some questions before I send you teh build. 1. Will you be overclocking? 2. Got any preferred brands? 3. Will you use the computer for something else besides gaming? 4. Will you need a mouse, monitor, keyboard, or speakers? Actually that's quite good but look back to the requirements. The addition of Windows 7 Professional would go a long way.

revlob. btK
I'll tell you what not to get.... If you go about any of the new 120hz lcd monitors make sure you don't buy that 5770 because most of the new 120hz (3d) monitors are only capable of running with nvidia cards. rL10
I have just changed one requirment to just Windows 7 Home Premium, but for most of you on overclockers this is no problem as that can be changed! Requesting more entries! It could win you a game of your choice!
