Solitary Ocean
I wonder how people just bully others. It's this sort of stuff that makes me reflect upon myself to see if I am fit for anything. I look inside myself to see my imperfections and faults in my moral and ethical behavior, for fear of being an inadequate human being. I see people not think about their actions not realizing what they are doing, not considering the consequences, and acting like it's normal. By the end of the day I forget it hoping its a nightmare, but it just happens over and over again everyday. What happened to being human? Dr.jiggles
Good for standing up for himself but seriously i dont understand how cutting yourself makes life any better for you, its actually the opposite of what you should be doing. LazaHorse
Good for standing up for himself but seriously i dont understand how cutting yourself makes life any better for you, its actually the opposite of what you should be doing. I wrote a paper on "Cutters" back in my Psych 101 class. One of the leading theories is that cutters believe something is wrong with them because of the way people treat them. However, they look at their outer appearance and don't see anything markedly wrong, thus realizing the problem must be something within. As such they dig into themselves to try and find what's wrong, and in doing so leave marks on their body that transfer the problem from the inside to the outside. While not discovering what is "wrong" with them internally, they CREATE something wrong with them externally so that they can at least have some control over the situation. It's crazy how much literature there is out there on relatively new social trends. As Kimzy said, I did post this video on my facebook... but not for the same reason everyone else did. Yes, I agree, to hell with bullies. But... this video was posted 4 months ago. And chances are, none of you would have ever seen it if Perez Hilton hadn't found it first. "Closet philanthropists" find opportunities to do good when they are readily available. Jonah Mowry asked for help... 4 months ago. Where was everyone then? Rizon
Regardess, if was doing it for attention or to make a point, we "all" can relate to what we have experienced in our lives, from seeing horrible actions from people to being the person who has to deal with this. One thing is certain, bulling needs to stop, i had those issues when i was a kid and i cut myself for it because i thought everyone hated me as well, but i said fuck that and stood up for myself. Don't blame ones self for how people act towards you, it's not always your fault. They always assume weakness out of the strongest willed person and cut them down, stand back up. Just my 2 Cents.
