Moose1234
No context is best context. But in all seriousness, pretend all Ts are at the circled corner. Now imagine lead says "All t's go to 2nd closest corner of sauna." The t's would go to the corner I labeled "3rd Closest Corner"...But the roof is actually the 2nd closest in terms of least displacement from the circled corner. Do you really want the CT's to start saying "All Tees go to the 2nd closest corner of sauna relative to the X axis."?
Dav3Schneider
He is talking about when the lead says, "go to the next closest corner."

Oreo
Should rename this thread hardcore nitpicking when lead says "next closest" he means the one that will take the least time to get to, in my opinion. So with that, the corner you have pointed out is much farther away than the one everyone goes to.

Completely right, closest can be understood in two different ways, in retrospect to the area, or in retrospect of the shortest way. Basically, do what you have done for the longest time, easiest that way.
mccaincracker
what he is asking is what will be the second closest from the current location? I know that you misunderstood my picture. The actual "closest" corner would be the one INSIDE of sauna based on how walls structured. I was only pointing out the flaw in his logic because the one ontop isn't the "second" closest. Moose1234
Yes I agree this is nitpicking a bit. I just wanted to see what others thought. And closest in terms of distance and displacement are two different things. Don't take this thread as me trying to revolutionize sauna orders or anything :-P
blackberry4511
The corner where the dead body is, IS the second closest corner of sauna. Why? Because the only way to get to the corner or edge directly above the current location requires the Ts to cover more distance by going all the way around infirm, climbing the ladder and then walking across back to the corner. True, unless zero gravity is on then jumping up to that corner will be 2nd closest corner.
Koth
uhh u do realize that the circle and "2nd closet corner" is the same corner... that whole line on that edge is the corner you were at not just the bottom little point...

enigma#
This is stupid... all semantical word trapping... precisely the stuff that we don't want nitpicked to death If we're going from bottom of stairs, closest corner is the closest corner. FROM THERE on, your orders are relative to where the Ts are. If you say the closest corner (it is tautologically the implicit NEXT closest corner sauna), which is the line that from furthest. If you say 2nd closest corner, (it is tautologically the implicitly the second closest (which by proxy is the furthest corner) of sauna), the Ts should be going towards the corner pointed by 'further'. If you leads are gonna use semantical trickery to confuse Ts, I don't see an issue with you not being on CT
Just Put The Change In
This is ridiculous. By closest corner, I believe it means closest by the path it takes to get to that corner. In distance the path it takes to get to the top of sauna is way longer than just walking next to the corner near the vending machines. In actual distance that would be the closest corner if we had moon shoes and could simply jump on top of sauna. Btw I can almost guarantee that no action will be taken on this. That's the way its been for quite a while and i highly doubt it will change because of your overthinking of the most simple orders.
