I am actually not sure yet.

I am trying to make the premise that the t's are trying to destroy evidence.

One area will possibly be computer servers, the other area will be money, vehicles, etc.

Right now I have it as de_crook.

Will possibly change.

Thanks Clark, maybe one of these days when I complete the shit. :/

Still have to locate and produce an alternate bombsite. Seems to be coming together, with the adjustments I am making.

Dan, it just takes practice and working with the tools. I have used 3d modelling programs for years, and have used hammer on and off for 2 years.

I still don't know how to do many of the things the system allows, so I am still learning too.

Youtube has some good video tutorials on things that will help you learn quicker.

Main things to look for and learn are...

1) Scaling of objects in the environment.

2) Proper brush work and texturing.

3) Proper placements of lighting, and including (1) environment entity.

4) Creating an environment that is as equal as possible for the separate teams.

And another main thing is saving your work every minute or so. It sucks when you work for an hour on somthing, and have hammer crash on you. Other than that, practice makes perfect.

Yeah, I found out about the last one the hard way. I save it every time I make a major change. I'll have a look around youtube, I use the Hammer wiki site at times too. But lighting has totally got me right now XD

If it is an outdoor map, placing one light_environment entity will help a lot with realism.

You can adjust the color and brightness, and thats really all you need to adjust.

As well as maybe the angle of the sunlight.

Yeah, I'm trying to work on a daytime version and night version. :P

I just figured out point_spotlight *facepalm*

A spotlight will not create any light other than what its directed at.

Using the light entity creates actual lighting.

And placing that entity in a certain area will light it up.

Yeah, just that I was using light_spot to try and make a decent looking street light. And then I stumbled upon point_spotlight, used that and light_spot XD

I usually learn from looking at maps already made, and checking them out, but I haven't been too fussed about it :P

Well I have done some more.

I plan on working hard on it this weekend, so I should accomplish somthing.

More to do on detail, lighting, etc.

Still have to determine alternate bombsite, and am adjusting map based on the time it takes to get certain places.

ps. my computer sucks. (X64dual 5k+), so fps will be way better.
