Suicide
Well, me and a few others get a lot of FPS lag in the city, and since there aren't many houses near Car Dealership, I was thinking of changing the spawn location to car dealership once you join/die. It's honestly not that much of a big change, since it's not that far from spawn, but it really does help for FPS lag in the city. Just an idea. ToXiC.
+1 don't have to tell new players where to buy cars lol
Nevodka
There will be too much CDM while everyone treks to the city from the dealership.

Sniperhunter
Hate for my first post to be negative, but it would be terrible for new players to have to play frogger to get to the basic areas they need to get to.
JJK
I vote spawn them on the very very top of nexus

Gravity Kitteh
I vote spawn them on the very very top of nexus Fuck yes! Would it be possible to make it a choise where to spawn? Like when you're death timer is about to run out and you die you get a little thingy that asks you where you would like to start your new life, either Nexus, top of Nexus, cardealer or somewhere in industrial. This would make it alot easyer to break NLR to!.. :>

Phirewire
You already spawn at car dealership, your teleported to nexus. But no thats a pain in the ass for new players, going from car to city on foot in town is everything they need. Plus there will be tons of "where is where am I how do I get to" questions in ooc. Mark
Moving the spawn half way across the map is a horrible idea
Suicide
Moving the spawn half way across the map is a horrible idea Why? You have to at least back up what you say with reasoning. It could really help due to all the in city FPS lag, etc.
DarkMonotone
I'm going to say no, simple because the city has everything you need. Stranding a bunch of noobs outside the city without any means of transportation would be a disaster.
Executive Council Kigen Posted August 5, 2012 Executive Council Share Posted August 5, 2012 The problem is people hate having to run all the way back to city to find useful NPCs. Plus, I really don't see any real benefit performance wise. Most client lag is due to poorly coded LUA that I haven't gotten around to fixing yet. The city is small and has everything you need besides a car dealership.

OUt of City your gonna be asked everything and you gotta walk. Not gonna happen. Also I already explained why its bad.
Puppymew
What we really need is a person to claim your car at hospital and a ATM at Suburb's gas station.
Puppymew
I really like spawning at Nexus, I think it was a good idea, you guys should also make it where the lady at Nexus tells you where to go, for example "I'm lost, directions please?" "Sure where would you like to go?" "(selects either Downtown, Business, City Residential, Outer City, Lake, Suburban, Where am I? Industrial or Country) Downtown= "At Downtown you can find Skyscaper, Ace Hardware, Izzie's Palace, and a ATM" Business= "The Business area you can find Bank of America, large shop, clothes store, small shop, Shop (whatever they are) The FireDepartment, AMPM, Burgerking, and Tides Hotel." City Residential= "By the park with the roads leading from Izzie's Palace and Bank of America you will find the Apartment Complex, you can find some businesses there as well. I" Outer City= "If you follow the road that lead's past the Business area you will find a tunnel, you will find a area with some other tunnels, you will find a warehouse, if you go to the right tunnel at the end you will find the Old Inn, Hersh and Co Storage and the Car Dealership." Lake= "If you go through the city tunnel you will see a tunnel to the left of the warehouse, follow the road you will find the Hospital, go through the tunnel you will find cozy Lake houses close to the lake and farther ahead you will find the cozy Lake Suburban homes as well." Suburban= "You can go past Car Dealership and go through the tunnel that leads to the Suburban area or you can go through the Lake path, you will find some huge suburban homes and a AMPM as well." Where am I? = "Your at the Nexus, the place all new comers come through, if you go through the elevator by the waterfall you go into the Nexus Garage, in there you will find the Police Department, to the right of me is a elevator that the 2nd floor you will take you to police offices, 3rd floor will take you to the Court Room and Police Chief Office, top floor will take you to the Mayor's office and the mayor's secret Service offices as well." Country= "Shortest route will be by Car Dealer, it's in the little woods, you can also take the Lake and Suburban route too, in there you will find a Church and some small homes." Industrial= "Go out the city tunnel and to the right of the small warehouse you will find some warehouses and businesses. You can also find the Car Lot and become a Tow Truck driver too (Need gold and 48 hours)" You can copy and paste all of that if you decide to do it or you can type it out, this will stop a lot of "Where's the car dealer?" because I see a lot of new comers talking to the lady. MisterInvalid
Maybe being able to pay to change your spawn later, set it to Car dealership, hospital, or something. But on its own, this is a bad idea. Noobs will have to run all the way to the city, and I won't be able to spawn my favorite car right when I spawn. Plus noobs won't know which way to go, and more often than not no one will tell them.
